Buddha said not to worry about such things because the answer is so complicated it is beyond human understanding. But when different scientific discoveries are made, a Buddhist is at ease with these as they explain small details of a large picture. This attitude makes sense to me and the constant bickering about creation VS evolution seems a waste of time.

Anyone else like this slant toward how the Earth came to be?

Isn't it better for them to just die and go to heaven immediately? They have a free pass while the rest of us have to work hard to get to heaven, so why don't they just commit suicide? I don't want an answer such as "they enjoy life", Heaven's life is soooo much better!!
Do they live for the sake of leading the rest of us to follow their path (which might explain why they are on Earth in the first place)? but, if so, why don't those that can't convince anyone just die and go back to God?
If they believe that life is a test (and hence they will be punished for their sins and rewarded for their good deeds later on), then why do they claim that they are God's chosen people? There is a contradiction.

Any ideas?

I live in an area that has a LARGE amount of Jehovaha Whinesses....my question is this (I know it's a weird one). They NEVER knock on my door! I see them all of the time, they never stop me when I am walking to 'preach' to me or my family. Seriously, aren't they kinda 'slacking'? I mean, don't they have to try to know on everyone's door? They've never knocked, so we've never told them not to come....I don't really want them to come, but it wouldn't really bother me if they did....I mean I wouldn't be rude. And YES, I should be 'greatful' that they haven't....it's just really weird, don't you think?

Would you mind sharing if it was?

We had one of those unforgettable days. It was Baptism Sunday and we play video testimonies before dunking. There were four being Baptized - one single mother and her two boys, and then my friend. My friend is built like a tank. He lifts weights, has a bald head, and tattoos up both arms. He's a tough guy.

We listened and watched as the single mom and kids went first, and they were inspiring, but my friend's testimony was on a whole other level. As he started talking about God changing his life, tears started to well up in his eyes, and you could tell he was fighting it with everything he had. But as he finished by saying "just look at how God has changed my life," the tears fell and the video went into slow motion as the music started up. His great big hand reached up to wipe away the tears showing his tattoos in all their glory. We were all in tears at that point. This big, tough buy was moved to tears at the changes that God had brought about.

And the joy behind your sufferings?

Life is difficult but when we acknowledge that it is difficult it becomes easier. Even if there are trials in our life..knowing that God, friends, and family stay beside us...we can still smile and continue living our life.
