As long as it is halal turkey meat it shouldn't be haram :) It's like beef bacon... just because it has bacon after it, it doesn't make it haram.

Halal Turkey Bacon

I can see the dilemma, since the definition of the word 'bacon' is that it is from the back and sides of a pig. There is no such thing really as 'turkey bacon', but it is fake pig. So the question is whether fake pig should be treated the same as real pig or not?

My own thoughts on this, which are not those of an imam, are that I wouldn't bother eating fake pig. If I am eating turkey, then let it be as real turkey, and not fake pig.

Turkey bacon is a substitute for pork bacon, but not all meat substitutes are vegetarian or vegan friendly. In this instance, the substitute bacon is made from the meat of a turkey, which is not a veg-friendly food.

Turkey wasn't discovered back then as it's an American animal so there wouldn't be any laws about it.

Also, it's only cured in a similar way to ham so why would it be forbidden?

Eating halal turkey is not haraam but what bothers me is why do they call it Turkey Bacon. Bacon is salted or smoked pig meat (from the dictionary). I do not eat turkey bacon or turkey ham as it is sometimes called.

It's turkey - it's not haram.
But why would you want to eat it?
Tastes terrible. ;-)

I did not know it is. Where did you get this information? I do believe you are wrong. There is no reason why turkey should be forbidden.
