The hebrew tribes had a tradition, once a year they would take a goat, ceremonially put all the sins of the tribe on it's head and then drive it into the desert to die! imagine the fear! this creature full of sin roaming the desert night.."Be good children or the scapegoat will come for you!" Is THAT how it started?

Believe me, atheists, God is doing you a great favour. In Deuteronomy the Israelites were frightened so God sent Jesus who radiated love, mercy and healing and did not frighten people (Deutoronomy 18).
Deut 5:20 And as soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders. And you said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man and man still live. Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, we shall die.

You want God to do everything for you even when you lack interest in Him. Would you really be able to handle it if He appeared 2 feet from you when you can't even look at the sun millions of miles away?

religious question...."Why haven't deceased people come back to visit us....or to tell us...there is a heaven and a hell, IF A BIG IF, there is one....???? that has always bothered me...MY parents said they would come back....if they could...but have not!!! it is sad...cuz now i am not tooo sure???

Millions of people belive in christianity and millions of people belive in the muslim faith AND millions of people belive in Santa claus? I am confused, who is right and who is wrong?

All the stories are far fetched and written by men 1000's of years ago? So which is the true path?

I only send this as fun....and maybe you 'believers' will realise that we are not christians and musims and jews and buddists and catholice and prodestant and hindu....we are all earthlings.....humans on a planet...we will all die and thats it.

Killing anyone for any reason, let alone religious ones..is as pointless as it is crazy.

Bill and ted said it best.....'Be Exellent to one another!'

Follow this and life will make more sense!

Isn't the problem between the Christian and Islamic world down to the fact that a christian country, like England, allows 'foreigners' the freedom to eg. follow their own religion,bring their own way of life and live it here in general society. Whereas all Islamic states prohibit this basic concession. Surely the need to create specialist areas for foreigners living in Islamic countries is a worrying sign that Islam IS an exclusive religion and not conducive to fully accomodating the diversity of the modern world. Isn't it a worrying sign for any religion that anyone with different beliefs or lifestyle is excluded from the general population?
Perhaps more worrying is that the crusades are viewed as history for anyone from a christian country whereas it still seems to be 'current affairs' for the Islamic world........ ?
