Believe me, atheists, God is doing you a great favour. In Deuteronomy the Israelites were frightened so God sent Jesus who radiated love, mercy and healing and did not frighten people (Deutoronomy 18).
Deut 5:20 And as soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders. And you said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man and man still live. Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, we shall die.

You want God to do everything for you even when you lack interest in Him. Would you really be able to handle it if He appeared 2 feet from you when you can't even look at the sun millions of miles away?

R1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. (St John)

You did an excellent job at describing the Glory and awesome power of God. I am a Christian and I don't think I can handle His glory, it is too powerful to comprehend, but my fellowship with Him is just as bright.

OOOO God's doing ME A FAVOR! OOOOH I'm so friggin' honored, God is omnipotent, I seriously doubt that he gives a rat's donkey about what I think of It. Don't forget GOD is asexual, there IS no He or She, it's IT. Quoting a mistranslated, tampered with book is not "giving me proof that God loves me". In fact I can do just the same, "I really need a career!" Letter from Bryman College to me. OOOO look at that, did I persuade you? No, neither did you.

1. What the hell does looking at the sun have to do with looking at God?

2. There is no God for me to "lack interest" in.

3. How is this hard to understand?

the bible didn't teach you that the sun was 94 million miles away...scientists did. also, god forgot to tell you about pyramids and dinosaurs. you see, the writers of your christian bible were not well-rounded, they didn't know any better. does god?

i'm not abraham, however, i did stay at a holiday inn express last night!

There is no way to know that you could yourself while you also cannot stare at the sun...... why speak when you have nothing to say. Extracting quotes from your book of mythology lends not one iota of veracity to your baseless argument....

You can look at the sun. Just use one of those pinhole-thingies or a telescope with a strong tint.

So it's admitted...the 'god' thing does go back to an earlier worship of the sun...or son...
