Does it matter if a million people believe in a system, or just one person believes in it? There is no right or wrong. Anyone who says that there is only one way is committing the worst of crimes--intolerance and self righteousness. When people accept other peoples beliefs as different ways of looking at the same thing, there will be peace. Christians need to learn this.

The main problem that causes suffering is the concept that everything and everyone is separate with separate interests, goals, etc. 'Believers' divide the world into 'us versus them'; but so do non-believers. Although you may not realize you're engaging in the same dynamics, you might want to also consider that you feel the need to correct and teach, just like any fundamentalist does. We all do this but we should realize -- by applying intelligence and honesty -- that none of us are above these dynamics, regardless of whether we're coming from a religious or secular world view. This is VERY difficult to see and the vast majority of us will think it's preposterous but once you do see it, it hits you as being so obvious. We need to practice self-awareness ...

We are all right! Look how many brands of toothpaste there are , all claiming to be the best.
You take the religion that suits you, try to live by its ideals the best you can.
Then when you die, God who masterminded the Universe and on hearing that we thought we knew it all, left us to fight it out for ourselves says" OK you did good, you get to come into heaven" or otherwise, as the case may be.
There is nothing wrong with any religion, just the way that people choose to practise it! That is human beings for you, imperfect, but all knowing!

Belief in mythology and an afterlife is an attempt to escape responsibility for one's actions.
I have no idea why gratuitous violence and a murderous nature dominates the three Abrahamic religions--Judaism, Islam, and Christianity--because those are not necessary for the doctrine of escapism that permeates those faiths.
I stay away from overly religious people; I assume they don't have a firm grip on reality.

you don't have to be religious to be a kind loving person, if you have a good heart and try to do what you think is the rite thing in every thing you do then you are doing rite by your self and the world around you. to attach a name and a book of well meaning rules to a belief system is to lose the point and obsession follows closely behind. just do what you think feels rite and it just might be, do what you think to be wrong and it surely will be. make up your own mind, don't do something just because others do, regardless of how many people are doing it, it doesn't mean they are rite, just they think they are.

Ya, I especially hate it when athiest systems kill millions of people: Stalin (athiest), Hitler (athiest), Pol Pot (athiest), Mao Zedong (athiest), Kim Ill-sung (athiest), Kim Jong-Il (athiest)....yep, those 6 atheists alone killed almost 100 million people in only 75 years.

If every religion or belief system was right, we would have no right to prosecute anything. The Muslim religion says that its ok to kill, so who are we to go after them for blowing up the WTC on 9/11? There is one truth, one way. Jesus.
