I'll believe that Allah, God, or Vishnu deserve credit for scientific advancements when we scientists can stop actually collecting data and just go to church & pray for new discoveries.

If the discovery was made using science, then science get the credit.
If the discovery was made using prayer, then your god gets the credit.

Fair enough?

Nothing in our known universe is immortal or magically appears. Everything is in a state of death once created. Planets, stars, life. Life and the parameters as we humans have defined it shows that everything comes from something. The only thing we have in humanity that is immortal and NEVER CHANGING is GOD. Why? Did god not come from somewhere/something?

note: This is from a monotheistic point of view. Somehow polytheism which was AROUND FROM THE BEGINNING OF HUMANITY........was wrong and replaced by the ONE GOD theory.

For murderers and rapist goodness does not inspire them, but we never have control over what inspires us. How can there be a Hell when we cannot control what inspires us to do good?

As a child we believe in Santa Claus not because there is proof but because we get our Christmas present on Christmas day. Christians don't believe in God because of proof, they believe because of their Christmas present in this case The Bible and all its "truths." But the Christmas present isn't from Santa, it's from our parents. The Bible isn't from God but human beings...44 authors to be exact. The catch is that we can't prove our parents gave us our presents...they did it while we were asleep. We can't prove that the Bible is not from God because it happened two-thousand years age. We believe in God because he is precious to us...we have faith...we ignore logic...just like with Santa Claus.

A great numeration of Coptic Christian Sephardic Jews of Ethiopia, Jews, Sephardic Jews know Christ as The Saviour.
So those Ashkenazim Jews that wanna front that Jews "regard Jesus as "nothing"" can forget about it, you got nothing.

Why do people get baptized? Why is it necessary to be "born again"? The righteous people who died before Jesus were raised up to heaven - what is different about the world now? Why did God need a scapegoat? Isn't God omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent? Why can't God forgive without blood? How can God have an offspring? How is the son of God more miraculous than Adam? Adam had no father or mother. If Jesus died for all people of all time, why not just sacrifice Adam before he disobeyed, then create a new one and prevent all the chaos and hatred in the world?

Is there any hope for the souls of loved ones who have passed away without being "saved"? Can they be helped by our prayers?
Is it ok to ask God to have mercy on them?

Please no sermons, just think about it then reply with your thoughts. [LOL - An impossible dream I know]

Atheists have a NO GOD
Agnostics have a MAYBE GOD, MAYBE NO GOD, and NOT SURE ABOUT GOD
Christians have a TRIUNE GOD, a FATHER GOD, a ONE GOD, a TWO-FOLD GOD, and a GOD WITH A SON JESUS
Muslims have an ALLAH GOD
Others have a MONEY GOD, POWER GOD, or about anything else that can be named as a GOD.
The Bible says GOD IS ONE. The Bible says YEA ARE GODS. [seems like many]. The bible say GOD IS SPIRIT. The Bible says GOD IS TRUTH

Sure are plenty of differently declared GODS by different resources and different individuals.

Is it at all possible that everone can have his own view of God that is best for him. Then if there is a day of judgement he or she will be judged based upon those standards?

Is not this one possible view? Sure would stop a lot of fights and name calling.

Personally, I'm an agnostic. I think theists and atheists both make some good points, but niether has the whole answer. But if God is real, why is there so much difference of opinion? Shouldn't it be obvious? Does God only reveal himself to some? If so, why?

I could go on with the questions, but you catch my drift.

We have had many lunati...I mean prophets who have been given to us. Some peaceful lunati...I mean peaceful prophets and some violent savage filthy pedophilic warlordddd...I mean violent prophets.

However...prophet Darwin is the final in the final series of final and last prophets. No prophet can come after him and say "No, I come from the 'same God' but he said we have another final and last of the final series of propets'".

Noooo...indeed...Prophet Darwin clearly predicted where the precursor of man would be found...and beholdeth...after his death we foundeth the homids in Africa as he predicteth.

No one can denyth this....why do some reject Darwins prophethood....was he not violent enough? Should he have married a little child and hated jews and christians and non-dariwnians?

COME ON ALREADY!!!

Sure are plenty of differently declared GODS by different resources and different individuals. Since they are different It seem unreasonable from one view that all are right.

Before you reply look up the word god in the dictionary and see how it is defined.

I guess the reason doesn't really matter, my partner Juan and I are just really glad they did. We'll be attending our first service in Birmingham on Sunday. He's picking out a dress now - three cheers for tolerance! See y'all Sunday!

Funny question, right? Here's the thing--there are plenty in my area, but I can't find any websites for them. I know that if I were to go to Catholic mass, I'd find a service time and attend. But I know so little about Buddhist practice that I don't know when to go or what to do once I get there! Can someone help with this first step, especially what to expect the first time I go?

I've been reading through here, and in many of the religous questions, I've seen people answer w/ stuff like,"oh hes here because look at whats around us" well I think the Big Bang did that. Anyways, im confused how you guys know that ur religon is right? theres a whole bunch of em and how do u know yours is right? Also im Deist, I think. In which i beleive there is a god, but he created the Big Bang to make things going, and that we have no idea who he is, until a later time...if it comes to that
