As a child we believe in Santa Claus not because there is proof but because we get our Christmas present on Christmas day. Christians don't believe in God because of proof, they believe because of their Christmas present in this case The Bible and all its "truths." But the Christmas present isn't from Santa, it's from our parents. The Bible isn't from God but human beings...44 authors to be exact. The catch is that we can't prove our parents gave us our presents...they did it while we were asleep. We can't prove that the Bible is not from God because it happened two-thousand years age. We believe in God because he is precious to us...we have faith...we ignore logic...just like with Santa Claus.

Exactly! Santa Claus was a real person but all this myth got out of control.

You're talking about proof of God. I don't refute that. I'm saying Jesus was just like Santa Claus. A mortal man whose legend got far from the truth.

Nicely put, God. As for the question...DEFINITELY! We all need something to believe in. I don't think you can phrase it exactly as you did though. Christianity may be the new Santa Clause for adult Americans, but other cultures have different "Santas." This is not necessarily a bad thing though! At least believing in something stirs fear in some people. The world would be a far worse place with nothing to believe in! Maybe those 44 men (as a general rule) had the right idea. Ignoring logic on their accounts is probably not what anyone really wanted though. If we could all just be enlightened, while still using common sense, we might all be okay after all!

But whether you're a kid or an adult, its all about FAITH. Little kids have faith in SC becasue its just something to look forward to. People of all ages have Faith in God because of the actual proof of miracles everyday. All Santa did was make toys and hand them out for free. If that was all it took then anyone could do it, even you emo person.

possibly at times. even as i replaced into starting to be up in a Christian homestead i replaced into informed that Santa Claus replaced into no longer actual. My moms and dads idea that if my brother and that i presumed the thoughts about Santa surely to later discover it replaced right into a lie that it may reason us to later question the failings they informed us about God.

Guess what....Santa Claus was a real person too.

For his help to the poor, Nicholas is the patron saint of pawnbrokers; the three gold balls traditionally hung outside a pawnshop symbolize the three sacks of gold. People then began to suspect that he was behind a large number of other anonymous gifts to the poor, using the inheritance from his wealthy parents. After he died, people in the region continued to give to the poor anonymously, and such gifts were still often attributed to St. Nicholas.

Today, saint Nicholas is still celebrated as a great gift-giver in several Western European countries. According to one source, Medieval nuns used the night of December 6th to anonymously deposit baskets of food and clothes at the doorsteps of the needy. According to another source, On December 6th every sailor or ex-sailor of the Low Countries (which at that time was virtually all of the male population) would descend to the harbour towns to participate in a church celebration for their patron saint. On the way back they would stop at one of the various Nicholas fairs to buy some hard-to-come-by goods, gifts for their loved ones and invariably some little presents for their children. While the real gifts would only be presented at Christmas, the little presents for the children were given right away, courtesy of Saint Nicholas ... or Santa Claus.

***In response to you later part....do you remember where Jesus is saying, When I was thirsty you gave me nothing to drink....when I was naked you gave me nothing to wear..... and the ones he spoke to responded by saying, we never saw you hungry, or thirsty, or naked. Jesus replied, When you have done these things for the least of mine, you have done them to me.

***We are to act toward one another as if what we're doing is for Christ. And Jesus does for us through the actions of others. So He is real and it all comes from Him, through us, his instruments.

How about respecting people's beliefs, instead of spending your life energy trying to convince others that their religion is a fairy tale? Do you know how insulting you are being right now?
