The people of France and many other Northern and Eastern
European countries were polythesist in my Opinion Nordic, Celtic Pagan etc. The VERY HOLY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH sent out Christian Armies and Conqured these areas, and the Kings were forced to convert to Christianity.
No matter the people Did not Convert for atleast about a decade, after which the Church asked the Kings to raise the Agricultural taxes and the Church lands would be Exempted from Taxes
In those Days the Societies were mainly agricultural they could not handle this economic exploitation and Thought that Jesus was not such a bad guy and surrendered before the Church and Converted

If you do a Historical study than 75% of the Countries where Christianity is prevalent have been defeated By christian armies and their population have been Economically Or Militarily Coerced into Christianity is not it a Miracle that 2 billion People are Christians.

Time and time again I see this question asked in someway or another . He gave us life and gives us knowledge. Then we rebel against Him, breaking His law, Then we point our fingers back at Him and blame Him for our misdeeds demending to know why He allow these evils. Why didn't He stop the child killer? For that matter why didn't He stop you from sinning. Would you love Him if He forced you to obey Him?... You might tell Him you love Him out of fear but would you really love Him? Would you feel loved if people were forced to say they loved you? You can't honestly say you would want such a world. God is doing what is required, 99.999% of the evil in this world is caused US not by Satan and not by God. ...Jim

I mean why not let them have them, in fact why not let every country have them. But in the case of Iran. What can they really do that a country like the United States or Russia can't do to them 1,000 times over. Maybe you might consider me a heartless individual to say let them strike first if they really want to. But personally if me or my family were to be killed in an attack by Iran it wouldn't bother me because i'd know that the whole country would be destroyed. Personally i'm more concerned with Russia & what's left of their nukes from the soviet days. It's funny with all of these people out there that believe in God, yet you won't act like God does if he's real. God doesn't smite someone for doing something he thinks they might do, or because he knows they have the ability to do it. God doesn't keep someone from doing something that is evil. God makes you suffer for it later. Not saying that anyone should nuke anyone. This ? is aimed towards believers in God & why their stance is

Heh here's an idea, wouldn't it be cool if we were all mature adult human beings with intelligence and we showed respect to one another and was genuinely interested in each others beliefs?

Then, when we wanted to talk to one another, we would all know what we were talking about?

Take the Bible for example, to effictively attack the Bible, I had to read it and learn about it to know what I was talking about. Wow, imagine that, an intelligent criticism!

What if creationists actually went to accredited Universities and took actual biology classes that taught about what The Theory of Evolution really was, and if they disagreed with it they would be able to intelligently talk about it; wow what a concept I know really right?

So wouldn't that be cool . . if people learned about things and then respectfully disagreed based on information and knowledge.

if we are to follow a religious leader, i feel that jesus is the best role model. he has a simple and plain message.
compassion and mercy
buddha comes second on my list
and the neat and clean lifestyles of these 2 people keeps attracting me towards their teachings even though i am an athiest

Many times I have seen questions asking for scripture help and even I have asked for scripture ref. Very few and do I mean very few has ever given scriptures. All you who are saved need to study to show thy self approved. Reading the bible is great, but study it as well, so you can help others with showing them what God says in His word.
