Apparently you don't know much about religion. Mediation is not for earthly gain, but for spiritual needs. It is no different than people who pray but simply a different form. People tell the rosary and it is a form of meditation. Hindus are called ascetics but Buddhists are called monks, or bonze or lamas depending on the area. Buddhists spend more time in meditation than do ascetics.

You really need to get a new hobby boyo! You have posted just dozens of bashing questions toward Hindus and Buddhists. What is the point of all of this? You have also posted bashing and lame questions towards Christians. In fact, that is all you do on here. If you do not believe in any religion or any God why are so constantly so consumed with religion then? Do you not have the intellect to post even one meaningful and interesting question on here on any other subject? What re you getting from all of this repetitive bashing with the same questions, just re-phrased over and over again? Pretty pathetic. Your ignorant and uneducated "views" are pretty embarrassing for you are they not?
The real question is why are you wasting your time doing this? lol

you have to admit, they are much more peaceful than Christians and Muslims and actions speak louder than words.
They ask less questions about their own religion on Y/Answers which means they are fulfilled in their own religion and need not search for god on a computer.
They don't judge others like Christians and Muslims which means they are not jealous of other peoples religions.
And, in general they are just more opne minded people.
I don't believe in heaven and hell either.

Buddhism has been around THOUSANDS of years longer than Christianity. Only angry, insecure fundamentalist whackos who lack even the most basic knowledge of religion (and that of others) would ever make such an absurd statement like you just did. It is pathetic to think that there is only one path to heaven, and I've got news for you--if there is only one path to heaven, it isn't Christianity!

More than just peace of mind. They are seeking enlightenment. Free from all suffering and cycles of existence. They are discovering their spiritual self and do more than what the normal human being can do without anyone realizing it.
