Yes that has definitely given him more power hasn't it? It is our job to help others see that he really does exist before it is too late. I too have seen the dark side. I was wrapped up in some crazy stuff. My belief in Christ started out by trying to prove the bible wrong. The more I dug into it the more real it became. There is a good book called He Came To Set The Captives Free. It's a true story written by a woman who was a practicing witch. It opened my eyes to alot of things.

for each person, 'satan' is whatever opposes us
how does the supposed eternal beings get genitalia anyways
snuff out a candle and dark overcomes light
remove heat and cold naturally sets in
one is not bad or good, it's just the consequence of liked or unliked changes
change is good and bad, necessary for us to exist
life seems to be a reciprocation of going back and forth, good to bad, bad to good
an infitity of circular momentum that is perpetual and apparent right where you stand
I feel the best deception was mankind convincing others that there was a god and devil so you don't see the human deception and pre meditated aforethought that originates with self interest
self interest can be good and bad, others will tell you if it does not benefit them, it isn't from god
but humans are quite capable of the attributes of 'god' and 'satan'
there will always be an opposing force, an adversary

No I don't. This is a phrase that comes from a time where Zealous Quakers scared their flock into prayer and obedience to God. This is a negative approach to the teachings of Jesus. Like Pat Robertson, he called for the killing of another Human Being without a thought, albeit Hugo is no Prince, he is a tyrant, still a holy man has no business calling for the death of another and by thus has no right to teach about Jesus.
No the greatest deception was keeping people as illiterate as possible during the foundation of the religion.

No, people believe he exists. His greatest deception is taking over religion, without anybody noticing. His greatest weapon is the so-called Christian. The ones who preach hate in the name of their religion and call it God's work.

No I think that maybe number two. I think that the biggest deception is "Thou shalt not surly die." Spiritualism's lie that there is an after life, which any serious Bible student knows is not Biblical, in fact that the Bible teaches the exact opposite, that there is no other existence but this one we are living now. I did not say that there was, or is not, a resurrection for the saints or one for the wicked. There is!

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I agree. A tornado touching down in a trailer park is an Act of God, but not an Act of Satan.
That's a good marketing strategy

well, depends.
The reality is, if you believe in god, u must believe satan exists.
But then satans best tool, is the misguided christian who gets either their belief or their interpretations wrong.
Happens all the time, & that (to me) is Satans absolute best weapon & he doesnt even have to do anything with it but let it happen.
