Atheists are afraid of:

People not agreeing with them.
Young punks smarting off to them.
Insubordinate employees (those punks!)
Losing their house after they walked on all sorts of people to get it.
Their bank account.
If they have a trophy wife.
If they get to take several vacations a year.
Doing a good deed and being called a boyscout.
The absence of booze and "good times."
If they can throw a house party to impress their neighbors.
Their neighbor's lawn (hey mow your lawn it is making mine look bad).
If they have the remote.
If someone tries to change the channel during a ball game.

Neither.
This Christian (me):
Not afraid of the unknown. What do I have to fear from death? I've faced it down, I know I'm mortal, it doesn't bother me in the least.
Questioning my belief? Been there, done that. Took me ten years to come to know God.
Hell? I'm not afraid of it. I know I'm not going there. And yeah, Hell IS real. My mom and I both had nearly the same vision the night my aunt (who was heavily into witchcraft and the occult) died...of HELL.
The Devil? Oh, he's real. But I have nothing to fear from him.
God? Not afraid of Him in the least bit. In awe, maybe, but not afraid. Oh, and God is very real, too.
Evil spirits? Not afraid of them, any more so than satan. Oh, and they're real too. I've had encounters with them, and I have witnesses.
Not believing in God? Been there, done that. I had to find scientific and historic evidence to believe in God. Well, I found it.
Atheists? I'm MARRIED to one.

It's actually harder to believe in God, than it is to NOT believe in God. So you know what? You're taking the easy way out. What are YOU so afraid of, that you've convinced yourself that all Christians are the same? Perhaps it makes you feel better to think that all Christians are uneducated, foolish, gullible, and ignorant.
Humor me a little, and read a couple books, IF you haven't already:
Just about any book by Lee Strobel. He was an atheist, who saw Christians in much the same light YOU appear to.
Also, the book Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell. He was ALSO an atheist.
If you haven't read them...you should. What are you afraid of? Worst case scenario, you waste a few hours, and learn nothing. Or maybe...you'll find something else.
It's up to you.
I've faced the fact that there might NOT be a God. Have YOU faced the fact that there might be?

First of all, this is a false assumption.

I am not scared of the unknown because I know God is there with me.
I am not scared of questioning my belief because it leads me to more truth.
I am not scared of Hell because I know it is not the place I am going.
I am not scared of the Devil because Jesus gave us power over him.
I am not scared of evil spirits because I can cast them out. I'm not scared of "not believing in God" because I've done that before and would never do it again because I know it's real.
And I'm not scared of Atheists because I dont' believe they exist.
I will say that I am scared of God..because we should fear the one who can destroy our soul.

How about change your statement:...Atheists are afraid of God believers. Wars, corruption, and suffering are going to happen with or without religions. The reasons your government may give you might sound like religions, but it's all really just power and money.

Christians SHOULD be less afraid, because they believe God is on their side, and they believe in eternal life. Yet methinks they doth protest too much, posting long and vicious messages at every opportunity. They sure seem to be afraid of SOMEthing. God knows what!

billcompugeek is an asshole. He makes Atheists sound superficial. Do know how many religious people are fearful of the same things? Do you know how many so-called Christians step on others to get what they want, and do it in the name of God?
Did he even realize how idiotic he sounded?
Something to think about. People are ignorant, but trust me it ain't bliss.

God is real, who else would make the sunset (and a matter of fact everything else)... a big boom cant! And if you think that you are crazy! And I want to tell you one thing, Hell is a real place wether you want to believe it or not. You will find out one day. Oh, and Christains are not scared of Evil Spirits, because there is no such thing.

Actually, we are all afraid of the same things. It's just that the Christians rely on their faith to help them thru (because they believe it to be true) and we atheists have nothing really to look forward to (because we believe dying means, well, you're dead).
