In my view, there are religious AND NON-RELIGIOUS brainwashings.

- I am an unbeliever, and well, I feel almost totally immunized against any kind of brainwashing - You?

My sister-in-law is a Mormon. When I ask her why don't Mormons like black people and why are they poligamists, she says , we don't believe in that anymore. OK fine, but they must be messed up to believe it in the first place do you think?

Judaism becomes Christianity and they throw out 36 "gospels" because they don't fit their view of what they want the bible to say. Instead they kept 4. Fast forward a few hundred years and we have the concept of the holy trinity which people decide to make up and call "fact" from this day forth.

Nextly, we go to the time of Luther where Catholics are given the metaphorical finger and Protestants branch off.

Finally, we have now, where the bible is interpreted on a whim and parts are chosen to "no longer apply since Jesus died for us" and others are enforced to the letter. There is no guidelines for determining what still applies and what does not though, so everyone seems to have varying views.

How can you put your trust in a faith that changes this much?

really what will you get out of it? i dont believe in christianity and never will and i have been to the other side and back just as any person who gets reincarnated and bet half of the christians on here have been on this earth many times in past lives and i even bet none of them where christian back then. you can pray and preach to me until you are blue in the face but you will never see me be a christian as long as i live on this earth and some day all of christianity will fall and its already falling.

3.4 million christians deconvert on a yearly basis and more and more fundamental christians come on here and in chatrooms to insult and degrade others so where is the love in all that and why bother with preaching since it doesnt work on anyone at all period

Imagine if you were raised to believe in Allah, God, Mohammed, jesus or these other foolish characters in the many religions of the world. That would suck! You would have to waste time and money on fictional beliefs.

I am born in a Christian family (orthodox), and "we"(not me in particular) believe in the Holy Trinity (not Blade). why do many passionate Christian believers (I don’t know if just Protestants and Baptists) "put all their money" on Christ, and not The Lord or the whole Trinity. "Because Jesus found the tine to come to earth unlike the other 2" would be a stupid answer

It seems that they spend a lot of time trying to disprove God and Jesus-Christ. I respond because that is what the Lord has instructed me to do, but they have no commision. Generally they are either attacking or defensive either calling names or using abusive language instead of defending their beliefs or positions. according to them we are mindless fanatics so why bother?

Do you have to go through a church ceremony to be saved or can you just admit to God with prayers you were wrong and never do them again?

i hope most people know what the meaning is behind the word assume but if you dont let me break it down nicely for ya "*** out of u and me" thats what assume means and i seem to see a lot of christians do that assuming crap.

heres a fact for christians as well. you do not know if the bible is true or not you only "assume" its factual.

christians only "assume" that jesus and god are one in the same when they are not.

christians only "assume" that if they repent they go to heaven which isnt even true anyways not by far anyways.

christians also "assume" if you are not a christian you burn in a place that doesnt exist in anyone elses religion.

christians love the word "assume" it seems since they all do that all the time and the liberals are no better when they assume they are right too at times.

reality of the matter is no one really knows the worlds history anymore

...separation of God and faith from our government and leaders, rather than the separation of a state-sponsored [set of] religion[s] that could lead to oppression. This in fact is what our ancestors were fleeing in Europe and the UK. I think alot of this confusion that many Americans, especially non-church goers, have with this issue, is that they do not clearly understand the difference between organized religion and a deep personal faith in God. Ultimately, our government (and society) seems to be simply abandoning God where public money is used on the grounds that our Constitution prohibits it, and our Forefathers intended it to be this way. I find that ironic in light of the deep faith G. Washington had in Christ...of his many public speeches referencing the Lord, now carved in our landmarks....Jefferson, too. What are your thoughts?
