Because they are trying to stall for more time.LOL
I pity the fools who say 100 hail Marys when they're dying, instead of saying who gets the Corvette.

Man created God/s because of the fear of dying/non-existence. We dont like to think our lives are for nothing, that we dont count for anything. Human survival has sustained for that very reason.....our egos and caring for fellow man....be it family, ancestry or creativity...we want to survive and have done so for thousands of years.
Death itself can be quick or prolonged and the afterwards is still unknown. What we do know is this. Lives do actually live on...obviously not in the physical...but memories do....for generations to come and sometimes as support for humanity...inspiration, inventions, art, cures for disease, love and hope.
Religion doesnt make dying more complicated...they do want to give you hope and reasons to live though. Being human alone should DO that...but for those with depressed emotions it doesnt...so an added kick to those who are really scared cant hurt or help. The actual act of dying is but a moment of your life (how long can a brain go without oxygen or blood...not more than a minute or two?).....sometimes painful, somtimes pleasant, sometimes unaware...its like childbirth.
We are all going to die...everyone knows that. It might hurt...like having a needle. If we have a hand to hold and promise of a tootsie pop after the owwie...it gets easier to bear. Thats all.

Dying is simple; anyone can do it. What religions complicate is what they claim happens after we die. Once you start making that stuff up, you have to make up even more stuff when anyone starts asking logical questions about it. It's just that the simple truth--once we die, that's it--is also a hard truth. So, religions create mythologies about life after death to keep us from having to face the grim reality. It's kind of like Santa Claus: once the kids get older, you have to make up more and more stuff to cover the basic fact that the whole thing is a lie, like, how does Santa travel all over the world in one night? Why are there Santas in every mall? Etc. Same thing with religion, don't you think?

Religion doesn't make dying complicated...it makes living complicated. What are you living for? Why are you here?

Dying is the easy part. 10 out of 10 people die. Where one might have difficulty is in their understanding of what happens afterwards.
If there is no heaven or hell, we've wasted your time. If there is a heaven and a hell, well, you get the picture. You have to come to grips over what affect eternity will have on you... and your loved ones.

It doesn't if you are truly born again. God rejoices when one of his children comes home. SO IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. But we are only human and sometimes we fear death, even though we know we are going to a far,far better place.even Christ hung on as long as he could. when he was in the garden, he said Father if it be possible, take this cup from me, he meant if there is ANY other way for mankind to be saved then let it be, if not then your WILL be done.

You are born naked and alone. You die naked and alone. Religions merely try to make it a more complicated matter to aleviate the aloneness of the situation. Funerals are for the living, the dead are gone on.

notwithstanding in case you element faith in or not, there is not something complicated approximately it. Your born, you die. each and every person is appointed a time to die, we only don't be responsive to the time. so using fact the music is going "stay each and on a daily basis As You have been death"!

Actually smoking and eating too much make it complicated - the slow and painful death kind of way. I would reference cancer and diabetes.
