Oh my! Did I open a big can of worms or what? There is so much hate in our world. So sorry most of you live in it. Being a Christian, it is something I think of when one dies. Sorry to cause such conviction in many of your hearts. I do feel sorrow for his family.

I asked the same question myself, and I do not know. This is the most important question to ask when someone passes on. You were very brave posting your question and please do not allow others whom do not believe in our Lord Jesus Christ to get you down. Remember, they first rejected Him before they rejected us.
Some on this site have said he is an Atheisis, and if that was true then you and I know where he is. However, if the Gospel reached him and he asked Jesus to forgive him of his sins and made Jesus the Lord and Personal Savior of his life, then we know he is heaven.
God bless you and take care.
Your sister in Christ

It is in the news today that Steve tried to save himself by pulling out the sting, but the damage was already done and it was too late. Apparently it was filmed. He simply came too close to the stingray -- after all those years of being in the faces of huge crocodiles and poisonous snakes. So once the stringray got Steve in the heart, there was no hope of saving him.

When Larry King interviewed Steve Irwin in 2004, Steve said, "God put me on this planet with a mission. My mission is to educate people about conservation." An atheist would not have said that.

I was wondering the same thing. That is how I found these postings. I think I was wondering because his death affected me so. He loved animals and he loved his family and I grieved for the loss. It would have been comforting to know that he was saved. I am sorry so many people responded harshly.

He was DOA. Oh you mean saved like in Jesus save me? Who knows - he seemed to be a caring, concerned person so he was good - that is all that counts in my books.

Saved is a term used by evangelistic religions to scare people into financial support. You should pray that God revealed himself to Mr. Irwin in a way that was understandable to him, so that Mr. Irwin could continue to learn in the spiritual realm. If you are concerned that he may be headed for hell, I believe when he died, he left hell for a much better place.

from what i've always been told, the only way you will not be accepted into god's kingdom is if you refuse to accept him as your lord and jesus christ your savior. it doesn't have to be at the exact moment you're dying because no matter how we've sinned, we were forgiven when jesus gave his life for us. i understand he was an athiest so hopefully he had a divine moment sometime before he passed. but at the same time, life is not over when your body dies. and i think we will all get a chance to make one final decision in the end.

Just grieve for his family and keep a place in your heart for his memory if you enjoyed his work. I did.

No. Steve was a "realist". So in all likelihood he's just dead. Just like all the dead Christians, Muslims, Jews and whatever...
