This goes in this section do to the often stated christian claim that atheists have no hope. (Just do a google search for atheist and hope.)

What the hell are they talking about? And any atheists here want to refute it?

I have seen many questions and responses here that seem to show a misunderstanding of what free will is.

it is defined as: "freedom of humans to make choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention "

That means that if I choose to kill someone, I am free to make that choice - it does not mean that I will not face the consequences. I can choose to make racist remarks at work - but I'll get fired.

What about the choice of the victims? - the fact is that crime involves taking away the victim's choice. That is the essence of crime. How then could the Creator take away our free will?

Do you understand that being free to do an act does not mean you are free from the consequences of that act?

If people want to call themselves tolerant and non-judgemental, why do these same people turn around and judge the actions of God? If we are finite beings with limited brain capacity, who are we to judge an immortal, infinite God who has an ETERNAL perspective on our life? Why do aethiests act like children, pouting that God can't exist simply because they don't agree with His actions?

I think Jesus ate too much tacos and drank too much carona lastnight because he just jumped off his lawnmower, broke down my door and is currently fouling up my gold plated bathroom.

Why would Jesus eat so many tacos?

As a protestant, I'm just curious as to how it is that the idolization of mary isn't idol worship...I went to my cousin's (who is catholic) first communion, and at the end of the service, they placed a wreath of flowers on the head of a statue of Mary...how is this not the same idol worship that got the Hebrews kicked out of the promised land once Moses came down from the mountain with the 10 Commandments? Serious answers please.

Atheist I know many of you have deemed Christianity as being for weak minded, power hungry, controlling, greedy preachers, and for the poor, suffering, and uneducated, and for irrational idiots.
My proof is not in giving the several major flaws in evolution, or to prove the existence of God through his intricate and structurally designed universe, but my greatest proof is my testimony

“The truth will make you free"- Jesus
freedom cannot be found in false religion and beliefs, only in Christ. I know this because he has set me free from hatred, bitterness, anger, anxiety, sorrow, perversion, self mutilation, and a suicide mentality

I tried alcohol to cope, and physiologists and doctors would have tried to put me on antidepressants, but Jesus gave me peace when I sought him.
I Will never be able to rationalize it. God is far greater than human understanding. I hope you don't try to disprove what God has done and say it is was not God , but merely hypnosis by some preacher.

Good afternoon. I have decided to worship the God of the Gaps. When I flush my toilet at work I don't know what happens. I have no curiousity about plumbing. God did it.

When a tree falls in the forrest and no one was there to chop it down, it was God.

I can't explain how the first cell of life started. I don't have a PhD in biology and a lab and several hundres of years of time to run expiriments to figure it out, so, it must be God that started life, since I can't ever recreate it in a lab.

It must be God how can you deny it? Will you worship with me, this God of the gaps,

or will you do what I would do in your shoes and call me an idiot and a moron?

Attention: Ignorant scared evolution-hating guy...read about it first, then you will be able to ask intelligent questions...honestly, I havent seen one informed intelligent question about evolution in here.

One time I was able to turn down the volume of the radio just by thought.
I had someone at the door and could not find the remote controle. I stared at the radio thinking angrily shut up. Then the radio indeed shut up. After the person was gone I went to the radio thinking it is broken only to find out that the volume was turned down to minimum and put the volume up to normal again. It freaked me out as I was alone in the house.
Since then I am interested in thought transmission my question is did anyone have a similar experience or does anyone know more on that topic
