Yes. No reason for us to assume that we are the only world in the universe with people on it. No reason for us to assume that God's creations of life are limited to this one tiny planet. I can't wait to find out all about it.

While such a thought is feasible with the attributes of Christ in mind, the Word remains virtually silent on the issue of other worlds being created with life on them. Looking to the Great Commission (of Acts 1:8), one does not see a mandate to go into space and start evangelizing the planets of our solar system. The Commission ends with the phrase "uttermost part of the earth". Moreover, Christ said to His disciples that all power has been given unto Him in heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18). It strikes me that if God had intended us to know about other worlds which needed His saving grace, than He would have told us about it.

While my answer may not cover all the bases, my point is that a Christian ought to be concerned about the immediate lost world around himself and not with the theoretical possibility of life on other worlds which God has told us nothing about in the Bible.

As far as Revelation mentioning the new heaven and earth, those things refer to future events and a new existence all together which will take place outside of and after our present reality.

I also am a sci-fi fan. The imagination of mankind, being in likeness of its creator, can imagine very fanciful scenarios and I think that God approves of our stories and myths. We should pause to remember that these stories are fabrications and conform to structure or code of reality so that we say, "I could see that happening IF..."
We should remember that "faith is the evidence of things not seen" so a word of caution, don't put your faith in things based on: IF evolution is true, or IF all paths lead to God, or IF you can reconstruct human bodies using corpses. It must conform to the revealed will of God and His written Word.

I think God made many worlds with many forms of life out there.... I hope he will let me explore them one day. I think that one thing that will be possable for the ones who will be entering Heaven will be the ability to go FTL... opens the universe to exploration... Yes I am of The Christian Faith and lean to the fundamental side... as my posts attest... that don't mean I don't have faith that God is the creator of ALL the universe and that He could well have made other civilizations out there...

I think we would be incredibly close-minded to believe, even for a minute, that, in the vastness of Creation, there is only this reality. I can guarantee you ... based upon what I've seen ... that this is so much beyond this Earth-reality that the human brain would have difficulty comprehending it all.

What that means is that Jesus Christ (God), will come back and make all the whole again.
