Evolution is a fairy tale for weak grownups and racist pricks that hold on to it as if it was a security blanket or crutch because they reject God and are in fear of what religion has professed.

"99.999%" Wow were did you see that gallop poll?
Your question alone shows that you agree that evolution is not a proven fact. By the scientific method wouldn't it be prudent to claim such a thing without proving it. There is not one single piece of evidence that shows one creature evolving into another. It has not been recorded that DNA code can change on it's own without an out side force.
Intelligent design is a plausible theory. A human cell is more complex than downtown New York, And the human brain is so complex we still don't know specifically how it works. What is wrong with theorizing that somebody or something designed it?
If aliens come to this planet and mankind is gone and they find a car do you think they will assume it happened naturally?
I lean a little toward evolution since there is no evidence of a creator. But I recognize both as intelligent theories and whoever claims that one is true is basing their beliefs on faith.

Good question. I love it when the nutjobs come out of the woodwork like this.
A lot of people have insisted that while they reject Evolution, they are not aware of any "fear" about it. Allow me to clarify this issue for you.
Does anyone today reject the theory of Relativity? No. That's pretty much accepted across the board, even by people who don't remotely understand it other than it has something to do with E=mc squared. Why do you have no problem accepting something you don't understand? Because doing so doesn't cost you anything. It doesn't pull the rug out from under you, forcing you to grapple with existential uncertainty.
But Evolution does exactly that. It suggests that you may not have been placed on this earth as part of an all-knowing, all-loving God's Divine Plan. This causes a serious problem for those whose world-view is based on the divine hierarchy. The idea that we arrived here by "chance" rather than design is utterly unacceptable. Which forces these people, many of whom are relatively intelligent otherwise, to reject the entire concept on a subconscious level, without even realizing what they are doing.
Douglas Adams wrote of an "invisible" spaceship. Rather than using some sort of cloaking device, it was bright neon pink and shaped like a '50s-style diner. It could land in the middle of a crowded area and nobody would notice, because as soon as anyone saw it, their brains would decide that it could not possibly exist, and if it did, it would cause far too many problems with their current understanding of reality. So they just blocked it out entirely.
This is what Creationists are doing now. The disruption of the Divine Order scares them so much, on such a deep level, that they aren't even conscious of it. Instead, they come up with ridiculous explanations for why a 6,000-year-old universe makes more sense than what all the available scientific research data has predicted. They insist it is "logical" to believe everything was created by an omnipotent force which cannot be seen or heard, and for which the only evidence is the fact the the universe does, in fact, exist. And they do this in the face of what they have to realize is an overwhelming number of experts who know way, way more about it than they ever will.
It isn't fear. It's mind-numbing panic.

People who know God through personal experience fear the lack of knowledge that has lead to the belief system that the unproven evolution theory somehow disproves or discounts the Way of Truth leading to Life.
Evolution is an interesting logical conclusion based on a very incomplete chain of evidence, but in general is based solely on physical evidence that does not lead to the proposed conclusions and routinely the proponents toss out, manipulate, fake and lie about it to prove their point.
For instance the incident of Java man being proved to be fully constructed as an ancestor to humanity in "SCIENCE" but turned out to be created from a misidentified pig's tooth.
Go science go.
But your assertion that such a huge percentage of scientists accept evolution as a fact is absolutely a lie, and no poll or study has ever revealed a clear majority of scienctists holding to darwinism as if it were some proven fact.
So since people like you continue to lie, throw out and attack evidence and then say your way is the right way, Christians will always easily spot you and ignore your assertions.

Why should Christians fear a hoax? Evolution is a philosophy, a belief system, a world view. It is not science, never has been, never will be. It cannot be proven using scientific methods of testing, retesting, falsification and observation. We both have the same evidence, it is a matter of interpreting the evidence. The evidence weighs heavier on the creation side. Evolution continues to change itself to try to fit the evidence, creation never has to, it has remained the same since the beginning.

I guess I will include myself in the group which you so hatefully refer to...
We feel no fear -- for ourselves. Our fate is assured, and we are quite comfortable with it.
For you on the other hand, we feel great fear that you may be condemned, to "hell" or nonexistence or whatever our personal belief in an unsaved afterlife state may be.
You should feel honored that we worry so much about you, we could have just said "well, that's his problem let him find out about hell when he gets there" (actually we can't do that if we are Christians, but hopefully you get the point).
I wonder, on the other hand, what is the origin of the obvious extreme level of fear that the PBS types whom you reference feel when confronted with an alternate viewpoint? Aren't they supposed to be the open-minded ones? That's what they would have you believe, anyway. You know, it makes you think more about the claim that Satan is the father of lies and the originator of fears, doesn't it?
Anyway, there is something critical that you are forgetting: You come to your conclusion that there is no God and that everything evolved randomly because you have not yourself experienced God -- therefore He does not exist because He doesn't make sense to you. But us "religious wackos" have had personal experiences which have convinced us of His existence. I was personally, directly, and miraculously saved in a very physical sense many years ago, WHEN I WAS NOT SEARCHING FOR GOD AND NOT INTERESTED IN FINDING HIM. For whatever His reason might have been, God very miraculously and physically revealed His presence to me in a way that I could not deny occured (because of the distinct physical evidence left behind), and which could not be in any way reconciled to a purely naturalistic view of reality (because of the "impossible" outcome). Even resorting to atheistic supernatural explanations would have required the most twisted and convoluted self-contradictory models be used to achieve anything close to the things that happened directly to me. Most believers I know had a similar experience, though many less dramatic than my own. Thus, we KNOW what we know (that there is a God), because of something specific which HAS happened to us. You ASSUME that what you believe is so, because you DON'T have proof to the contrary. Which is the less logical conclusion to reach based on the evidence experienced?

The fear is finding out the bible is false. While some Christians do believe that the bible is written by man and can have elaborations, plenty DO NOT and it flies in the face of religion.
We have a saying in the Bahamas that goes: "Chile don't get it that" -meaning you don't understand it and you never gonna understand it.
Curious, though, any Christians who believe in evolution?

Has anyone ever considered that its all the same thing? There is no TIME for God-or whatever your spiritual belief is- God lives in the now-"He" is not up on a throne in Heaven like a greek god- geez! There is a patten and purpose and a perfectness to the cycles of life and nature- how can that not be both a perfect science and a divine pattern? If there is no time for God then his 7 days- by the way people- the Bible is written by and chosen by MEN but one of the best holy teachings on earth.- could be thousands of our years- his blink of an eye could be milleniums to us and its all the same---here's another one for you-- who did Adam and Eve's son marry if they were the first? Geez-again, its all teachings!

Aren't scientist just people like those that wrote the bible? Who gave them authority over eye witnesses in the bible? All science has is theories. Theory = An assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture. The key word in theory is assumption, which is a guess, not fact.
