Being spiritual does not necessitate being religious, though I grew up in the Christian church I was raised to respect all beliefs and at this point I do my own spiritual growing or praying because churches are too commercial and pushy. If your life has a purpose and you are trying to be a better person inside and out-then--hell with everyone else. I like some of the Buddist and American Indian Beliefs more than Christian and I suppose that puts me right in hell when I die-I do think there is an order- I don't care if you call it God or Science or Nature-and we are all part of it. I keep it to myself mostly because of my neighborhood-just too judgmental (Mental) If others beliefs and opinions were so good they wouldn't have to "sell" them to you- so rock on- just be a good example of a human!

I don't know if everyone is praying for soul. Whether you believe in God or not,People will pray for you because they care. If they come to praying for you then just tell them that you are not interested. It's plain and simple nothing deep about it. There is no such thing as forcing opinions. People can listen or not. You have a choice.

Some religious people seem to believe they need to pray for other people and it's often for the other people to see things their way. In my experience, this kind of behaviour is usually motivated by fear.

I encourage people who feel they can impose their beliefs on me to pray for themselves. Clearly they are the ones struggling, since I don't have a problem with where I'm at. I've also learned to walk away because they aren't going to let it go.

Praying for you is a gesture of ultimate kindness, why reject it? At least some one cares about you even though you clearly hate them with every fiber of your existence. You obviously feel free to state and discuss your beliefs, are you not forcing it on everyone? If you feel free to state and discuss your beliefs, why is someone else stating and discussing their belief seen as "forcing" and yours not?

So you believe anything that substantiates your hate for Christ and all His followers. Nah, not really. It's just convenient to say so.

So they really force you to do something? Nah, not really, it's just that hate leads to slander and that's right where you went.

Praying for you is NOT forcing beliefs on you. And if you don't believe there is a God to pray to, then why do you care whether someone prays for you or not?

If you choose not to believe, that is your option. But, if others choose to pray for you, that is theirs.
If you think they are wasting their time, ignore them.

And, how can you force your opinion on others? Atheists in general have a lack of beliefs, right? So there is nothing to force.

Just becasue you dont believe does not mean it does not exist we pray for you because we are loving you like Jesus told us to...to love you own family is nothing but to love your enemy or a stranger there are rewards for such deeds...just because you cant see your heart does not mean it is not there.... the same with God and we belive in what he says...so we pray for you soul that you might develop a relationship with him and accept him to avoid hell...which is real just like heaven is....

Atheists don't have beliefs. They just make blatant statements without any proof to back them up.

What's wrong with someone praying for your soul. It is their prerogative.

The fact that you don't even see yourself as a sinner in need of prayer proves these Scriptures to be true:

Ephesians 5:14 (KJV)

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

2 Timothy 2: 25&26

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

I don't think that it's bad that someone would pray for your soul. Basically their just sending what they believe to be good throughts to their boss. If you don't believe in their boss it really doesn't affect you then does it? You can respect them for their believes while still retaining your own.
