Atheist I know many of you have deemed Christianity as being for weak minded, power hungry, controlling, greedy preachers, and for the poor, suffering, and uneducated, and for irrational idiots.
My proof is not in giving the several major flaws in evolution, or to prove the existence of God through his intricate and structurally designed universe, but my greatest proof is my testimony

“The truth will make you free"- Jesus
freedom cannot be found in false religion and beliefs, only in Christ. I know this because he has set me free from hatred, bitterness, anger, anxiety, sorrow, perversion, self mutilation, and a suicide mentality

I tried alcohol to cope, and physiologists and doctors would have tried to put me on antidepressants, but Jesus gave me peace when I sought him.
I Will never be able to rationalize it. God is far greater than human understanding. I hope you don't try to disprove what God has done and say it is was not God , but merely hypnosis by some preacher.

John 8

31. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, THEN YE ARE MY DISCIPLES INDEED;
32. AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE

Use your spirit and heart not your intellect
He is the only one who can set you free

No, you don't have proof of God. What you had was a significant subjective experience that you interpreted to be supernatural. No, it's wasn't Jesus, it mind over matter. No, it wasn't hypnosis by some preacher, it was SELF hypnosis. Your "rebirth" wasn't due to a deity, it was due to your willingness to con yourself.

1. This is not a question.

2. Atheists are rational people who cannot reasonably take "testimony" of extraordinary claims as "evidence" due to the application of Hume's Maxim which states: "That no testimony is sufficient enough to establish a miracle, unless the testimony be of such a kind, that its falsehood would be more miraculous than the fact which it endeavors to establish."

With all apologies, a random post on the internet does not meet these qualifications.

I am glad to see that you have put your alcoholism and self-mutilation behind you. However, I would ask you how it is that many Hindus, Jews, and atheists have all done the same without he help of Jesus?

My experience is similar. After living selfishly for 21 years, I came to the Lord - I had tried alcohol, dating, etc, without finding any peace, joy, or purpose in life. I examined the Bible and a few months later I trusted in Jesus for real - and He gave me the peace, joy, and purpose for living that I lacked.
A fully convinced atheist is hard to find, since omniscience (knowing all knowledge) is a quality of Deity - therefore a real atheist is claiming to be God. Even the most proud atheist has to admit that he/she knows very little of all knowledge that can be known, so therefore they really can't know for sure they is no God. That might make him or her really an agnostic.
I challenge any agnostic or atheist to read the New Testament, and ask God to open your spiritual eyes - don't reject something you may never have read. Jesus said, "If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether I speak from God, or whether I speak from Myself."
To reject Jesus and gift of eternal life is eternally unwise and a fatal mistake - believe on Him while there is still time for you.
**********************************************
To the one who says I cannot convert him with my experience plus Bible verses: he is correct, but God is sovereign, and His Spirit is irresistible. He is stronger than your will or mine - you should be glad He still gives you breath and a chance to repent and believe the Gospel. The Bible says "Today if you hear His voice, harden not your heart", and "It is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment"; no one is guaranteed another breath, and you are one heartbeat away from eternity. I pray that you will believe on Jesus and be saved.

no one is saying there's a Leprechaun or a 'guy interior the sky' or any of that. maximum individuals are in simple terms saying there's conceivable of a source to all this and in time we'd discover something like it -- it is going to probable no longer be AS defined by utilising many folk, yet i'm prepared to guess $one hundred precise now that interior 20 - 30 years there will be a leap forward in physics suggesting we are certainly in touch with something interior the words of God. Plus, if faith gives you a 'placebo effect' then enable human beings have it because of the fact human beings of religion have a tendency to be fairly fit in accordance to Time. generally, all you're able to do is call us 'idiots' devoid of information (psychological) that there is something incorrect with our brains -- nonetheless with some individuals i'm advantageous there is. Ha-ha. don't get me incorrect. I strongly dislike extremism. in any different case, we comprehend the burdon of information is on us. countless us try to instruct something it is previous our present day information. yet there are theories nevertheless which could lead on on us to this.

one day you will have a slip, take a drink, or slip in some other way.
Then who are you gonna blame? Oh of course, you can just blame your so called disease.

When any one tells me, that he saw a dead man restored to life, I immediately
consider with myself, whether it be more probable, that this person should either
deceive or be deceived, or that the fact, which he relates, should really have
happened. I weigh the one miracle against the other; and according to the
superiority, which I discover, I pronounce my decision, and always reject the
greater miracle.

That's awesome! So glad to hear how your life changed because of Christ!
Unfortunately I agree with a few others that this probably will not be accepted as proof by atheists. They don't believe in God and since He wrote the Bible it probably won't help to quote scriptures to them. But it never hurts to try anyway, God can always use people who are willing. Besides it's always encouraging to other Christians!

Well Well....I am glad you are progressing into a passing lane. Soon you may have to stop for gas. Jesus had some strong suits, but name calling to the pharasees and proclamations of eternal damnation were not among them. Name calling got him crucified. One must be very careful when they come to another's intersection. There are stop signs, yield signs etc. Signs. Jesus was ignorant about those signs and came to those crosses or intersections in his life haphazardly and got crucified. We can do better than that. This he tells us in John 14 12. If we can see him and all of our mentors as they are in heaven, then we don't repeat their sins or differences to others. If we can but attempt to find the ways he did his most loving stuff, like healing, we can make a better world. Sup to us. There are no true athiests. Athiests are really no different from you and I except that they choose to express doubt in One God. They don't know. We don't know either. When people argue over something they don't know, the only point left is fear and the reasoning over unfounded fear leaves confusion, chaos. Eternal Damnation is a lie. It is hateful, dysfunctional and a big lie. If God knows everything, there is no need for punishment because God made all the illusions of sin to begin with. And we all return to sender.....heaven. One all knowing, ever present God cannot be separated from.

Yes, what God has done in your life is your best proof of God. Unfortunately, a professed "atheist" is unlikely to be convinced because of a hardened heart and eyes that are blind to spiritual truth. Don't let the snotty responses you will receive on this site discourage you. The most powerful way to share what Christ has and is doing in your life is with those who see you and can observe personally how God is transforming you day by day. Even a militant atheist or two has been softened by the evidence of a changed life.

*Sigh* Let me try to explain this to you. Your “proof” is NOT real evidence, no one else can measure it because no one else knew how you felt before nor do they know how you feel now. For all anyone knows you were a nut before and when you found God you just redirected your craziness to less destructive behavior. Personal experience that can not be measured is only “proof” to the person that experiences it.

The argument that lots of people experience it is not proof either. EVERYONE that believe in God would have to live a “sin free” life in order for it to be proof otherwise it is just a few nuts redirecting their craziness to less destructive beliefs.

I am NOT attacking believers, I am a believer, I am just showing you the illogic of this argument. People will chose to believe or not, such is the nature of free will and faith.

Putrid pus-pools vomit blubonic plague
The bowels of the beast reek of puke
How to describe such vileness on the page
World maggot waits for the end of the age!
