I know that mormons can't date until they're 16, but how and WHY did this rule originate? I know it's only occasionally followed, but I want the church's point of veiw, and their reasons for why this rule exists.

How come within years of the so-call resurrection of Jesus Christ, the author of 2nd John 7 is worried that people might find out that Jesus was fictitious? Was he warning about Paul's teaching?

2 John 7.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

I ask this because I am a Christian who thinks that a lot of Christians are lost and don't get it. I'm curious to know if it's God that bothers you or the people who say that they represent him.

I get bothered a lot of times by people who say that they're "Christians" but act like they don't know who God or Christ even are. It ticks me off more than anything to see people say that they know God and then treat people like they're less than dirt. I also know people, though, who have a distorted view of God and think he's either out to get them or doesn't care.

So, which is it that most repels you from "Christianity"? God, Jesus, or people?

My boyfriend's sister is staying with us and has on her myspace that she's a witch and likes the satanic bible. What good scripture can I use for this situation?? (she's a poser and isn't a witch nor read the satanic bible but I want to prove the point that the devil is a loser and god is stronger)

I have done wrong. I admit it. I have used the same tactics as others when asking questions about christianity and other religions. From this point on, I promise to only ask real questions, and unbiased questions regarding Islam and its followers.

So,heres a question so I dont get reported for not asking one:

" If I can show you 3 different textual versions of the Koran, dating back almost 1500 years, would that disqualify the claim the Koran is unchanged? "

i was in my room the other night with the lights off, listening to cds on the sterio, and singing along. i was laying on my bed , staring at my door when i saw A ghost like form. it appeared to me in the form of a mirror imgage resembling my mom. it walked from the doorway to the entertainment center, about 2 feet away, where the sterio sits at the top of. I turned away, thinking i was seeing things, when i looked back in the general direction the almost angelic looking replica was gone. But all of the sudden the sterio was shut off, as if someone had hit the power button. is it a waring, a sign, a deception of an evil spirt?

In taking the Belief-O-Matic test at www.selectsmart.com, I discovered that while I am according to this test a mainline to conservative Christian /Protestant, I am in agreement in a percentage way with even those I am the most different from. For example I am 31% in agreement with the Nontheist and the Secular Humanist and 35% in agreement with New Age and Neo-Pagans. Therefore I think that if we look for our areas of agreement we might be able to find more peace and good will toward eachother. What do you think? I hope you take the test.

I know I'm supposed to pray, but I just never get around to it, and I know I need to, and at night, I get scared since I didn't pray that day, and I know it's my salvation...and I promise to pray when daylight arrives. But then the sun comes out, and I just go about my day, and watch the tube a bit as well...and prayer gets skipped again. How can I stop this cycle and start praying? It's not my favorite thing, but it's not aweful either, and the stuff I do instead isn't productive, and only fun at the moment, so y can't I just stop stuff for an hour or so and devote that time to prayer? Please help with suggestions which will get me to pray B4 God knocks me on my *** again. Thanx. The rosary's long, that's y it's skipped, but I wanna stop, what do I do?

God said that He loved the Son and that He so loved the world,, I believe Jesus never said He loved the Father becouse love is a action. He showed with His life thruogh obediance what true love is. Talk is cheap but sweat and blood tell the real story . I think we Christians need to put that more into practice . take care "1Cor 15:58" thought i would just throw out a sharpening stone for those who need this now - those who don't its your turn throw us a stone so we can sharpen up.
