I want to answer for them, they are brain washed, to keep up w/the Joneses, what their parents tought them. Well they must understand that their God is not the all mighty and others are just as good. They also need to understand their religion is as much a myth and a cult as all the others. I Love the jokers who ask if I found Jesus, they have a lot of nerve to missplace their God, how mean, LOL!

I am a Christian. I do not mock mythology. I just don't believe that it is God-created. It is human-created, and it does have touches of wisdom and inspiration (some mythologies, anyways...which are you talking about, exactly?), but, still, it is human-created, much like, say, existentialism and phenomenology.

I don't assume Christianity to be true. I know it is true. A world of difference between assuming and knowing.

What you are asking is, "Why do you Christians think Christianity is true when I think it is not?" The answer to that is because I have been given the gift of faith and you have not (yet, as you may indeed receive that gift in your lifetime).

How do I know Christianity to be true, you ask? Because faith was given to me. If I had my druthers, one of the last things I would have wanted would be to become a Christian. I used to think it was a mythology too, no different from any other. But you see, brother, when God gives you the gift of faith, he also gives you the gift of truth. It is not something that can be explained in any satisfying terms of logic, reason, and cause-and-effect, because it is beyond logic, reason, and cause-and-effect.

Should you one day be given the gift, you will understand. Until then, enjoy your ideas...knowing that they are human ideas, and knowing how limited the human mind is. If that is enough for you, good for you. But look around you at what humans have done with life. Ask if you think--if you know--that there must be something more to it than what you see.

I do not mock mythology, I just don't believe in it. I can assume anything I want. That doesn't make it true for even me. We understand a simple and even you can assume this to be a pretty good idea. To believe in something that is done by faith you are taking a risk of being wrong but should, maybe not recieve a reward for that faith. When you take a gamble it is usually for a reason and that is our reason for taking a risk on the most important decision we will ever make. I believe!

I'm Christian but I don't feel that way a belief is a belief that doesn't make mine true. Just because we believe something that doesn't make it true. I don't know why I think the way I do. I think people(including Christians) should accept other people's beliefs but alot of Christians are stubborn. OOps I just went against my own faith oh well. If God exists he will forgive me for being open minded if not then I don't want to be Christian. By the way MYTHOLOGY rocks. And its not fair that you single out ALL Christans we don't all feel that way. Thats sterotyping.

I´ll do my very best to be creative, promise!. I don´t mock anything, trust me!, and i will not try to ´´assume that yours (or mine) is true, honestly. Please be at ease!!!. NOW!!!

Hope you are rested at your favorite chair, very comfy. If not, you may stop this here, now and go and get comfy. NOW!

Let me ask you one simple question; Where do you want your ID micro-ship implanted, in your right hand or your forehead. Every nonbeliever will get one and the system is already in place for you to get yours. Of course that information comes from the Bible and also a WARNING but since you don't believe the Bible that´s irrelevant. So write your essay stating your facts about what you believe and convince every body how good it is to be ID marked by the system in order to buy and sell. God bless you, either way!!!

I would say that there are many parts of the Bible that can't ever be verified but parts of the Bible are verified historically accurate documents. We as Christians, chose to believe that the entire Bible is accurate and true. We don't have proof but that's what faith is and when you are a Christian, you understand faith.

Tell me this. Could one of us...a human who likes to steal, cheat, covet, lie, eat 10 cheeseburgers because it feels good, schemes to get rich...really come up with something that makes this much sense?! I haven't met anyone yet who could have masterminded this book!

I don't MOCK mythology....I find it very intriguing and it had a very important in the cultures of ancient Rome/Greece...the stories thereof are quite beautiful, but I find that Christianity gives me the spiritual base on which to live my life and rest my future.►◄●►

How strange, you want intelligent answers but you start off by insulting Christians as a group. For your information oh master of smarts, all religions have mythological components - ALL!

duh-Mythology is a known "myth". Christianity is a known fact. Jesus was born, lived, preached and was crucified. This is all documented in secular history. People who believe in Him are real. You can find one today. Only His miracles and deity are in question by non believers. Everything else about him is more well documented than any other subject in history.
