Will all the Christians here try to resist the temptation to respond to the aniti- God/Christian posts? Will the Christians here, and any others who do not like the hate posts and all the deliberate bashing stuff, also keep posting, from time to time, a simmiler request to this. So that eventualy all the haters will just be talking to themselves... I know they can not be stopped from answering... but if all who do not like the hate and bash and bait just to cause trouble crap would just stop replying to them they would have no incentive to keep it up... just a thought, if any would go along with it...

I know it is tempting to just hit back, and I am guilty of that myself... but this all here has gotten way bad...I know they can not be gotten rid of...but they can be ignored

If you believe where will you go when you die? Do you believe in God or Satan, both and who do you side with?

Do you think your religion has answers for everything? Are there any flaws in your religion? If you had the opportunity to change something about your religion, what would you change?

Those questions are targeted towards people who believe in a greater force. Those who believe in "science rules" can still answer the question since they imply that "science" is the greater force out there

ps you don't have to answer all the questions if you find them tiresome, just stick to the main question

In the past few days, I've seen on PBS sprout, something where it was telling about the Muslim holiday of Ramadan. The cartoon narrator even mentioned the Koran as a "holy book".

Then a couple of days later, I saw one where a kid was talking about their Jewish traditions.

Here is the question:
Since that channel did this for Islam and Judaism, do you think they would give the same time and respect to the Christian tradition and mention our holy book, the bible?

I doubt it because people are even paranoid to mention the word Christmas. Or if they celebrate it, it has to be without any reference to Christianity and only about Rudolf the red-nosed raindeer or Frosty the Snowman. I think there is a strong double standard where we have to be tolerant of all religions except Christianity. What do you think about it?

Woodpeckers have very long tounges perhaps 10 inches long, often with barbs at the ends for stabbing insects, they often use a glue for the toung to help pullin the insects and a glue sovent in the stomach to unglue the tasty treat and digest it.

Problem... some woddpeckers have tounges that stick out like us form the mouth, and the european woodpecker has a tounge that starts in the throat and wrapps around the back of the head, down the beak and out....

how did it micro evolve
1) created with the tounge wrapped around and micro evolved to have some woodpeckers today with ordingary tounges sticking out
2) naturalist evolution, tounges started as other birds and then went backwards wrapping around th ehead and down the beak and out... and how would a series of gradual changes explain this?

According to Buddha [paraphrased], whe should, "Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true."

I think Bhudda is speaking religionists, non-religionists, and anti-religionists. Is he right, or should we fall mindlessly - and behaviorally - into the dogmatic belief systems of others?

Why sex? Logically speaking why would we not stay a-sexual, why rely on something outside of ourselves for something as vital as reproduction. There are frogs that reproduce without a partner, this is logical self sufficiency, why logically speaking would we open ourselves to dependancy?

Why do you think God chose those prophets from Jews or Arabs (and they are in fact relatives) ? Would you also do so if you had been God ? Why not Chinese, German, Malaysian or whatever ? Did God not foresee that it would take thousands of years and millions of death until his message would be delivered to the other end of the world ? Why did not he send al least 1 messenger for each nation ?
PS: Remember there were no TV, internet etc at those times.

If you do not have faith in God or the Bible then what do you have faith in? And if you say yourself - then why do you have faith in a being (you) which in the span and scope of time and the universe is nothing more than a speck of dusk which will fade away?

The primitive, nomad, superstitious tribes of Israel were conquered by one of the most glorious civilizations the world has ever seen. We actually still use many aspects of the Roman "Authoritas & Dignitas"... Laws and technology and emblems, and architecture. Why should we even give the Jews of antiquity the benefit of superior knowledge? Do you even remotely realize that it would be akin to say that the gypsies could produce a prophet and be revered for 2000 years hence. Put things in perspective and realize that your sacred lies are just wishful thinking that ease up your fear of dying.

It may sound like an urban legend prank, but sb1437, the Homosexual Curriculum Education Bill, passed the state Senate in May '06.

The state Senate's analysis is as follows:
DIGEST: This bill prohibits instruction, or the adoption
of any instructional material, that reflects adversely on
persons due to sexual orientation. This bill also adds the
age appropriate study of the role and contributions of
people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender to the
social science course of study that covers the contribution
of men, women and groups to development of the state and
nation.

Gays must be highlighted, K-12... only in an artificially positive light.

Truth? Illegal!

It's on its way through the Assembly, and could land on the Governor's desk soon.
