"Holy Underwear" Batman!!! The LDS wears it so they won't get STDS! All joking aside, I have researched this question and I found nothing on the web. Must be some kind of "Mystery Religion" for the Gnostic induced. And before someone critizes me for the above jokes, my take on the LDS is this. Anyone who follows a man who claims to have met God and Jesus in person and was asked by them to rewrite the Bible and start a new relgion KNOWS they are worshiping the Devil! Jesus warned us of people like Joseph Smith. Mathew 24:23-27, "Then if anyone says to you, Look here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to decieve, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they say to you. Look, He is in the desert! do not go out; or Look, He is in the inner room! do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

I'm not Mormon, but why the hell do you care about their underwear (hey, I made a rhyme)? That you care is kind of perverse, don't you think?

wikipedia has a good explanation. Basically, it's just old-fashioned underwear that covers a lot more than current styles.
