How about you all just leave, or at least just answer questions instead of quoting bible scripture or judging others.
Yahoo answers is meant to be a database of human knowledge, not of human ignorance or yet another soap box for you self righteous Christ Cultists to proselytize on.
Shut up, and get over yourselves already. If you cant handle criticism or a community of people from various cultures and walks of life perhaps you should move down to that Jesusville they are building in Florida and live in a sanitized environment where the koolaid comes right out of the tap.

It is a very good way to go. I may not be Christian, but I do hate the bashing either way. Opinions are fine just as long as you have respect for the difference in them.

A true christian should be out on the streets winning souls rather then spent their time on the new world order Internet designed by Satan to harden your hearts to God. The Internet is being use to steel souls away from the kingdom of God, and no truly committed christian would have it or a TV Idol in their house or expose their family to this instrument of the world system.

I don't answer any questions that are just plain rude, however there are some people asking good and/or fun questions, like Jim Darwin. He's not bashing at all, he's just trying to lighten the mood and gain some understanding. There are quite a few tolerant people in this category, believe it or not, as there are quite a few rude people claiming to be Christians. It's a microcausm of reality, and some people just need to lighten up and not take everything so seriously.

I'm not a Christian - but I understand your effort.
I've always DREAMED of a similar thing when the KKK showes up to rally. There are always angry people shouting back to them.
Wouldn't it be fabulous if NO ONE showed up - if they were standing there spewing their hate, and no one was there to listen or care? It would be a beautiful thing.
But probably unlikely. There are always reactionary poeple who think yelling back will accomplish something.

I answer depending on the question. Most of the time, it's the question about why are Christians hypocrites. It gives me the oppirtunity to share that everyone sins (leading to hypocricy) and that we all need Christ. I turn the opportunity into a witnessing time. I also try to tell them that they believe in Alexander the Great (there are only 4 manuscripts that even mention Alexander the Great and they were written 400 years after he died) and yet they don't believe in Jesus (we have over 24,000 manuscripts dating between 90AD and 500 AD). I try to let them know that we have faith in God and history and they have faith in history.
I just try to plant the seed. You never know if your seed will be the one. You still need to show them love.

I bet it would depend on whether or not the bashers in the name of Christianity stop bashing everyone who thinks that their religion is a farce. We are not interested.
I'm not here to persuade anyone to be anything that they aren't. But alot of Christians have this mentality that they have to kill you with quotes and force their religion on us. Think for yourself people. Its not unheard of.

None of the prophets won any popularity contests. They
killed all the prophets. Speak up, but not self-righteously. Rather,
do as we are instructed, and try to sit down and reason with
people.
Scripture says to rejoice when you are persecuted. The more
everybody hates you. The closer you are getting to the TRUTH!

So long as you continue to assert that the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of a group of ignorant Bronze Age fishermen and peripatetic goat herders constitute the cosmic 'truth' pertaining to fundamental issues of existence and reality, you can expect to be confronted by rational people.

Amen. I try to avoid them too, although I am guilty of baiting them in the past. It is even hard to answer a true Christian question on here without getting bashed. God bless you. We know He is real and is watching out for us. Someday, somehow, He will take care of it. God bless

Cheers...I know where you're coming from, but I like to respond. Distillation of garbage yields, well, garbage, and my ministry here is to boil it all down.
When Jesus called Matthew (a tax collector, equivalent to a dishonest police officer or corrupt judge in the days of Jesus), He cut right to the quick. He simply said, "Follow Me."
People don't hate Christians, they hate He from whom it came. They are under deception, and need to be simplified, no?
Good question, brother, but I disagree in love...
