The whole Mass is a prayer.

An extra prayer after receiving communion is optional, not required.

This can be any prayer of thanksgiving or praise.

Whatever is in your heart. God doesn't want to hear you repeat a prayer just to pray. God wants to know what is in your heart.

I believe in the Catholic faith it is the Apostles Creed. It has been over 35 years since I was catholic.
