No, they have way too many damaging effects in the aftermath. Sure nuclear energy is more safe than using it for destruction. I think everyone threatening everyone that they are going to fire nuclear weapons is more like a couple of children playing in a play ground and mustering up the courage to fight each other. "Shut up, I am cooler than you, I have an army tank", "Oh ya? Well Tommy is not your best friend anymore, he's mine"

Zechariah 14:12 Sounds like it is describing a nuclear war.
rotting away of ones flesh while they are still on their feet.
eyes rotting in the sockets will they are running.
Tongue rotting in their mouths.
Describes a war and tribulation of terrible porportions.
Matthew 24:21 says that if god didn't step in no flesh would be saved alive. Only a nuclear war would kill all flesh.
But it says God steps in and saves some.

Kiki-la has it right. It's kids yelling, "My dad's bigger than your dad" & "oh, yeah, my dad can beat up your dad"
If one country fires a nuclear missile, the rest will send theirs up. What isn't destroyed in the initial strikes, will be covered in the nuclear snow, radiation, etc. People that weren't killed in the initial blasts would die slow horrible lingering deaths. People that do survive would have no food not contaminated, no water not contaminated, their DNA would be affected, so that if they had babies, there would be horrible deformities. It would be the end of the earth. It's not worth it.

Depends on what your intentions are, as well as the consequences there of. However, if God commands you to nuke someone, you had better obey are well. A nuke is nothing compared to the eternal torture of hell, even if you don't die in the explosion, the lingering radiation death is still short and sweet compared to the suffering God has in mind for hell.

If I was in charge.... I would NOT hesitate to find out a general area for Osama Bin Laden and drop a bomb. I would give Iran one day to make amends to their evil ways.... have intelligence to find out a general area of the stupid president there and drop a bomb there.
