How come within years of the so-call resurrection of Jesus Christ, the author of 2nd John 7 is worried that people might find out that Jesus was fictitious? Was he warning about Paul's teaching?

2 John 7.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Read the verse again. John is saying that there are people that go out saying that "Jesus never lived". John is saying that these people are deceivers (aka LIARS). John is saying that Jesus lived and that there are people that are saying that He never did.

The passage is talking about the anti-Christ, not about the validity of Jesus. It talks about those who will not realize that Jesus came in the flesh as the son of God. The writers of the new Testament had no fear of the truthfulness of Jesus and his mission on earth. You really need to take a bible course in order to understand the passages in the bible. The truth will set you free from fear.

Even if there is no direct proof that Jesus actually existed, it is impossible to say without a doubt that he never existed.

Most world myths have evolved from reality. Noah's flood actually occurred (whether Noah existed or not), King Arthur was a minor historical figure around whom the legends were built. Hercules probably existed according to Robert Graves, a very highly respected anthropologist, but he was probably a smelly, drunken, violent miscreant who was -because of his drunken temperament - a vicious warrior.

So, the likelihood that Jesus, the Jewish rabbi, actually is fairly large.

John is talking about people who lie that Jesus isn't the son of God. John was warning the faithful to be careful, because many evil people would arise and try to trick people into believing that Jesus isn't the son of god. Even today, there are many books coming out trying to discredit Jesus Christ (da vinci code, holy blood holy grail, etc. etc.)
