That's one of the beliefs I think is most stupid in Christianity. Be a ***** your whole life and just ask for forgiveness while exhaling your last breath and you're ok.

There's no such thing and heaven anyway, so the only place Osama's going is six feet underground.

I suppose it would depend upon to which religious group you were asking. But from a christian perspective no, asking for forgiveness is not enough. It goes beyond asking for forgiveness to being fully repentant and placing your trust in Jesus. So that in the next life Osama would not have to pay for his moral crimes, Jesus would have paid for them. A quick i'm sorry to the sky is not enough without the heart attitude in place.

Forgiveness from whom?
He doesn't believe in Jesus Deity. He is a Muslim.

Acts 4:11 "He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone.
Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."
This referring to Jesus Christ.
See the previous verse. 4:10.

If he sincerely accepted that Jesus was the Savior/Son of God, repented from his past sin- yes.

There are differnt degrees of reward in Heaven and Punishments in Hell. So Osama's place in either will reflect how he lived his life.

If he accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior then yes, he would. Sometimes its mercy that a person lives instead of dies, or dies instead of lives, since only God knows where their heart is when they pass.

Sometimes the miserable linger for the sake of their salvation, while the good tend to die, because they have refused to live any further for the purpose of the kingdom, and its mercy that they pass instead of risk their salvation.

God knows. He knows who are His. Many times people say they are sorry because they don't want the consequences. Others say I'm sorry so they can go on doing the same things and just keep saying I'm sorry with no intent of changing. God knows the hearts of men. Jesus knew the heart of the "good thief" on the cross next to Him. He could say this "day thou shalt be with me in paradise" because Jesus knew he was truly sorry.

If he repents and truly wants forgiveness. He would also have to spiritually convert as well. HE would have to go from being Muslim to being a Christian at heart.

It takes more than just asking for forgiveness - it takes obedience (Matthew 7:21). That's not too likely to happen.

If he is truly sorry for his sins (preferably confessing them to a priest) and accepts God, then yes, he would go to heaven.
