Lets look at the 10 commandments, the guideline by which all Jews are obliged to live by.

"Thou shalt not kill":They kill hundreds of palistinians and Lebanese every week

"Thou shalt not bear false witness": they consistently lie about Palistinians in an attempt to demonize the Palistians, thus justifying their killing.

"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours house or anything that is thy neighbours": The Israelis have coveted the land of the Palistinians.

"Thou shalt not steal": the Israelis have stolen land from the Palistinians and neighbouring nations.

"Thou shalt have no other Gods before me": The Israelis have put wealth, money and power befor their God

"Remember the sabbath, keep it holy": the israelis kill and plunder on the sabbath day.

So far they have broken 6 out of the 10 commandments and will break the other 4 soon, so how can we call them the "chosen people of God"?

When reading another poster's question, brandonr189 stated: "Praying is a waste of time. tell me one prayer you've ever had answered."

I have a feeling my brothers and sisters can post many MANY examples of truly answered prayers!

May God bless these answers and answerers!!!

For those who say that the world being flooded was just the known world at the time, isn't the Bible supposed to be the word of God and wouldn't God know about some more world?

It uses words such as: "Finally, the water covered even the highest mountains on earth."

Also, having rained and flooded, it would surely have killed the plant life as well. So how did that come back?

I don't say taht word often, and I know that many only wish that they could go to school, but it was not a good day. Several years ago I was outdoors and praying, because my heart was so heavy from caring for my mother who had cancer and not long to live. A humming bird came up to me and fluttered in front of my face for some time. A few days ago I was outdoors praying ,again really greived and a humming bird came up before my face and startled me but it stayed for some time and left. I feel it's a sign from God, do you think it's possible in a humming bird?

Anthiest or non-practicing parents: How do you deal with raising your kids. In my area most people are Lutheran or Catholic. I don't want my kids to be anything, but want them to keep their minds open. If when they are older, they become connected to something, so be it, but I won't brainwash them with Sunday School, especially since I don't believe in god or Jesus in the typical Christian way, My wife and I are open to a higher power/ spirit, just not the bible. If you are here to tell me I am an awful parent for keeping my kid from christianity, you are the kind of person who makes me right about religious people. Let me ask this question and judge not.

As I have said I am a Catholic and although we are called as Christians to teach the world about Christ I do not feel that includes proving it to anyone. The burden of proof lies on the individual. I can only teach or show what we believe and leave it at that. What do you think? We each must discern things for ourselves.

I think that it doesn't matter in who or what you believe. Life is still a mystery. I believe in God, and saying that there are certain things in life we would never find out in this world doesn't mean that I am doubting him. It's normal when people doubt their believes, but is to test them and make their faiths stronger.

But I do believe that we can all agree that Life is a Mystery doesn't matter if you believe in a higher power or not. No one has the answers to everything, they can give you a theory but it's still not a fact.

And God and the Bible can give you some of the answers, but you wouldn't really know until you reach the end of your life. Some questions are left unanswered.

I think we have the right as people to know everything about life after we die and rest in peace. (I am talking as a Christian here).

Not all the Religions and Believe Systems give all the answers to life but is good to believe in something

i believe in God 100%. and i aregue with friends all the time about it. but im wondering, do you believe in God, and why? or do you not, and why?
i do because not only the bible, but it is the only logical explination for life that I can honestly think of.
and i really hope that this doesnt turn into the battle of the religions again.
