When an Atheists gets ran over by a car, and he is lying there on his death bed, the first words out of his mouth is "Oh My God". This seems to answer your question. If not, then you should know that 80% of the people in the world believe in God. You just wonder why so many people believe in God? You try to recruit people to claim that atheists are right, while intelligent people only has to look around and marvel at all that was created for us. Pretty place to visit, but I don't think you want to live here. I can only feel sorry for your soul, and pray to God that you may one day wake up!

There is probably some truth to it though I myself dont hate atheists. I think the statement is right though that atheists havent done well at selling themselves. Seems the biggesr spokes persons for Atheism are like those we see here... the hateful and uneducated ones. There are some Atheists who are decent intelligent human beings but those like the ones who come here and act like animals give them a bad name.

However, this is really good evidence that the claim the uneducated Atheists make that Religion is dying out and more people are becoming Atheists is wrong ;)

That answers a lot. There was a woman today that wondered why her husband never told her he was an atheist. this is the same thing I said.

BTW, for the most part atheists are not trying to sell their way of life. First off, it isn't profitable. Second, well, I don't think we need a second, religion is big bucks.

We aren't an organized group. I forget who said it, but words to the effect: Trying to organize atheists is like trying to heard cats.

Nothing more than what I already knew. Tolerance only extends to those who believe in a god. A theist can say whatever he wants about atheists and no one is willing to speak out against it. Think of George Bush Sr. "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." Think about if he had said that about African Americans, the outrage it would have sparked. When it comes to atheists, no one gives a damn.

I think atheism to the atheist is a reason for that person to do whatever they want without consequence. I also think that not many support atheism because athiesm offers no hope. I have met many many many athiests...I am friends with several...but I have yet to meet one optomistic athiest. Every one I've met is mad at the world (or mainly at Christians). They have no positive thing to say...and well...that can be a drag. No one likes a negative person. No one wants to fellowship with a negative person. People as a general whole are searching not necessarily for God (although I believe Him to be the answer) but for hope...something positive...something to bring light to their already dark and dull day of work or sickness or pain. Atheism has nothing to offer except for a life of anything you can conceive of doing with no immediate consequences for your actions. And although that's initially appealing, I don't think too many are fooled.

It's not right for another human being (especially a Christian since they are supposed to live by the motto thou shall not judge) to judge another based on their misconceptions of another's beliefs. Does that mean they shoud like the atheist that forces their beliefs down his throat? No more then the atheist should like the Christian that forces their beliefs down the atheist's throat.

I'm hardly surprised. This is in a nation that demonized a man who got them out of debt (for enjoying a ********) and are lionizing a man who has spent them back into debt blowing people up because one of them upset his father.

Nothing fails like prayer. Ask any of the Christians or Muslims who have family members who have died during "Mr.Bush's Excellent Adventure".

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Sadly it is true. The author is right that what atheism needs is positive message instead of a negative one. what we need is a acceptable pro-atheist message instead of a weak anti-religious one. You only have to look at this site to see the crude anti-intellectual image that atheism projects.
