Well prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h married a 12 year old girl that's bad according to some,well then what about a report in America issued by the FBI in 1990 which stated that in that year one thousand two hundred & fifty five women were raped and 15% of these were preteens and these were the reported cases and only 16% cases were reported,and the following year i.e 1992 nearly 1900 cases of rapes were commited on average everyday and nearly a quarter of them teen and preteens.No offence intended but you people really need to look around before you start criticizing.

A little knowledge on any subject is dangerous you have to read a lot more to get an understanding of NATURE and MAN MADE RULES AND LAWS and MAN MADE RELIGION. Its all about realising that there is no good and bad and everything is just NATURE we are just animals so accept it. Now, the 9 yrs Old was not a Muslim, and Islam forgives every crime a Muslim does against Non-Muslims.

In Florida today there are laws still on the books wherein someone can marry a 13 year old (if they are young as well) with the parents permission.

I heard too that the Jews didn't want to leave their land recently because their promised beloved was still with their family (too young) and couldn't leave. So in that part of the world (maybe in places here as well like with Mormons and they having many wives, even sometimes a mother and daughter as their wives at the same time, etc.) it seems to me that there is still traditions all over this world wherein a marriage partner (although very young) is promised to another.

Cultures change over the millenia. Children today are not as mature as children of the same age were hundreds of years ago. Mentally, yes, children are children, and I would definately not condone my 10 yr old son getting married. However, children were made to grow up and take on responsibilities that children today are not made to in most parts of the world. Once upon a time there were no teles and video games, there was only cooking, harvesting, etc. in order to survive.

Yeah it seems awful to us, but u have got to take into account that it was a different time with different morals, in 570 AD all humans were seen as sexual beings regardless of age or sex. Sure it's wrong but so was the nailing of ppl to a cross and burning them alive, fathers being the owners of their daughters and being allowed to sell them off to whomever they liked, the raping and pillaging of villages and slavery. All those things went on at the same time and it wasn't the Muslims doing it!

I believe Muhammed married not a 9 year old but an 11 or 12 year old. Then it was considered that when a girl reaches puberty shes not a girl anymore, Shes a young woman. So it was acceptable.

You are not considering the fact that society throughout the world was copmpletely different than what it is now. I suggest you do some background reading and think a little bit more before you ask a possibly insulting question such as this.

Different culture, different times. They didn't always have neat little nuclear families all over the world. It also isn't the same thing as homosexuality, so they aren't exactly hypocritical for finding something pretty much unrelated to be a perversion.
