that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship..."

And given the impact that this man's thoughts and actions have had, why don't we heed his advice and keep this matter private?

Why should anyone be accountable to anyone else for his/her faith or his/her worship?

by arguing that while theists cannot prove that god exists, atheists also cannot prove that god does not exist.
This is used as a basis for arguing that there is no objective means for determining which is preferable because neither has a logical or empirical advantage over the other. Thus, the only reason for going with one or the other is faith and then, presumably, the theist will argue that their faith is somehow better than the atheist’s faith.

This claim relies upon the erroneous assumption that all propositions are created equal and, because some cannot be conclusively proven, then therefore none can be conclusively disproven.
So, it is argued, the proposition “God exists” cannot be disproven.
But not all propositions are created equal. It is true that some cannot be disproven — for example, the claim “a black swan exists” cannot be disproven. To do so would require examining every spot in the universe to make sure that such a swan did not exist, and that simply isn’t possible

If a religion or spiritual path we adopted makes us Sad, Annoyed, Irritable, Depressed, Fearful and Tearful...well, generally Unhappy for a long time ( and more )... shouldnt that mean our spiritual search is NOT over or maybe we are destined to be atheists.... If that is the case should such a devotee

1.abandon it, coz any holy path is meant to liberate us from unhappiness,
2.keep it on the shelf for awhile, maybe i need a time-out to cool down and think it over
3.drudge your way through despite any pain, bondage and unhappiness? err... coz Pain is happiness?
4. None of the above because ________________________?

Okay, so I was wondering if its possible for me to become an Occultist Priestess over the internet. If it is possible, I doubt most of you would know about it. But anyway, if you can`t find a way to do that, the nI at least want to be able to learn almost everything I would need to know to become. If you know what I have to learn and/or where on the internet I can learn it, I`ll be really thankful. If you are a Priest/Priestess in Occultism and want to teach me some stuff, please email me or leave your email address in the answer and I`ll email you. Thanks for whatever help you can give!

I am so blessed with all that I have. One husband, two sons, 4 dogs, a lovingly family, friends, a job, food and shelter, and much more than I deserve. Take time to be thankful today, regardless of who you thank, and if you pray, please pray for those who are not as lucky or blessed as you and I.I believe in prayer and action.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

I noticed one time while driving past a Kingdom hall that there were no windows. Not even in the front doors. I can name 5 immediately off the top of my head that are in different cities and none of them have windows. Anybody out there got the answer to why that is? Is it something to do with their beliefs, or is it just because they don't see the need to waste money on window? Or is it something else? I honestly want to know.

How is knowing how to be safe and protect yourself the same as condoning sex.

Its like teaching your kids self defense is the same as telling them to go get into fights... Maybe they will (fight, or have sex)... but all you can do is hope that you have pointed them in the right direction, and that no matter what they will choose to be safe... I think it is child abuse to not educate kids about safe sex... Kids are doing more and more dangerous sexual acts now because they are trying to preserve their "innocence"

What happend?

The masses are becoming more and more ignorant with each passing year... Maybe we can get back to chastity belts, and shotgun weddings... What happeded to this country? We are being swallowed alive with stupidity, and unreasobable expections...

This is a very common claim, perhaps for a number of reasons. Some people are so sure of the existence of their god that they have trouble imagining that someone else could honestly not feel the same way. Some may also imagine that the existence of evidence for their god is so abundant and so overwhelming that genuine disbelief cannot exist. It may be possible for a person to be confused as to what the “real” God is, but not that God does exist.

Why do those that don't believe in God continue to send me e-mails telling me how many times they have read the Bible or have studied the Word of God? whats the purpose? They continue to quote scriptures to me about not judging or about not being tolerant of others, but they don't believe in God, so why don't they come up with their on words and stop using Gods? or could it be they believe Gods Word to be the truth. hmmm.

The NAS is the nation's top scientific organisation, and comprises the most credible, influential and productive scientists working across all the various disciplines from physics to climatology.

All support evolution. Incidentally, as a secondary question, why do you think 93% of them do not believe in a personal God?

Could it be because they are better informed than the general population?
