The NAS is the nation's top scientific organisation, and comprises the most credible, influential and productive scientists working across all the various disciplines from physics to climatology.
All support evolution. Incidentally, as a secondary question, why do you think 93% of them do not believe in a personal God?
Could it be because they are better informed than the general population?

In response to the claim: "They don't let creationists in" that is nonsense.
Admission to the National Academy is on the basis of scientific productivity determined by peer-reviewed research output and contribution to the field in which they work.
There is nothing that would prevent a physicist or an entomologist or any other scientist who believes in creationism or ID being admitted - it depends only on their output in their chosen field.

Yes, I beleive that they are better informed and they have the right idea. Religion is a form of superstition and scientists only go after the facts!

Alot of it has to do with the fact that the NAS has a very high and much higher membership that are aethist than the general public or even the people in the fields of expertise they represent
so a much large amount of the NAS does not believe in a personal God than the brader community and perhaps they have an ax to grind and perhaps carry alot of phiosophical baggage to the table
The religious bias the NAS brings to the table it uses to examine data with calls into question its objectivity and it is sertainly not neutral... and yes 93% of the NAS reject a personal God far higher than the general public or even scientists they claim to represent

National Academy of Science is godless to the core–survey
The National Academy of Science (USA) has recently produced a guidebook for public school teachers, Teaching about Evolution and the Nature of Science (see detailed rebuttal). This book tries to assure readers that neither the NAS nor evolution are anti-Christian.
But a recent survey published in the leading science journal Nature conclusively showed that the National Academy of Science is anti-God to the core. A survey of all 517 NAS members in biological and physical sciences resulted in just over half responding. 72.2 % were overtly atheistic, 20.8 % agnostic, and only 7.0 % believed in a personal God. Belief in God and immortality was lowest among biologists. It is likely that those who didn’t respond were unbelievers as well, so the study probably underestimates the level of anti-God belief in the NAS. The unbelief is far higher than the percentage among scientists in general, or in the whole population.
Commenting on the professed religious neutrality of Teaching about Evolution and the Nature of Science, the surveyors comment:
‘NAS President Bruce Alberts said: “There are very many outstanding members of this academy who are very religious people, people who believe in evolution, many of them biologists.” Our research suggests otherwise.’

I, personally don't care what the scientists think. I believe in God, intelligent design and all things in the Bible that people like you disagree with. I am not looking for an argument, just stating my beliefs. God bless you and all the scientists.

I suppose it would bruise their overblown egos to admit believing in something that cannot be measuered, put under a microscope, or otherwise quantified and classified.
They have discarded faith. Faith being too intangible they had to discard it. They want "empirical evidence" only.
They refuse to believe that there is something more powerful than man.
So far as I'm concerned they all need to go to the nearest convenince store, buy a bag of ice and put it on that huge, swollen ego.

b/c calling intelligent design a scientific theory is a purely american idea that the rest of the world mocks severely. maybe intelligent design is real but it still is not a scientific theory. have you ever considered that God works through scientific methods?

No, I don't think they're any better informed about all things...perhaps they are too focused on science to even consider GOD? If they all support evolution then I shudder for them as they're not as smart as they claim or think...

No it is because they wish not to be judged for their actions and theyu accept no creationists in. Have them explain leap second. Have them explain man and dinosaur footprints side by side. They can't because then they would have to admit that teh Bible is right.

It it because science is man's trying to understand that which is around him, using only his own intellect.
"God" is an unscientific idea.
And I am a Christian.
And I don't give a damn about the "evil evolutionists."
