A combination of both. Some things are not in my control, but other things are.
God give me the grace to accept what I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
I don't know who wrote this, but its a very famous prayer...

I don't THINK I've reached this point in my life as a result of choices made, I KNOW I have. I am truly the happiest I've ever been. Safe, secure, financially stable, great family, great friends a wonderful job and married to the most incredible man the Creator ever made. Yes, my friends, life good!!

Well yes and no. To some I would say that it is a result what you have and have not done. Some would say fate. If I were to really know then I would know my whole life before I go on. But to answer the question yes it is.

I think God is in control... It's kind of like this: A child in the backseat of a car is free to make choices - to look out the window, play, sleep, watch DVD's, listen to music, read, etc - but, he/she will still ultimately arrive at the parent's destination...

it is defiantly a result of choices. I have control of my own life, good or bad.....I did it to myself and I take responsibility for everything and every choice I have made.

I suspect part of it, a big part, is choices I have made, and yes some of it was beyond my control. Thanks for the question, it made me do a good self examination.

It would have been the result of God working in my life and I would be happy, but I abused my free will, and now I am unhappy, and pathetic.
