god is everything. there is no set god. christians claim it from the bible, but there are religions older than christianity, and who says there not true? why would a god that is not selfish punish a good person just because they don't label him as the exact god from a book. and bring the world to an end after creating it and letting it prosper for thousands of years, then just destroy it because he wants only people who believe in him to go to a heaven. if the god from the bible does exist, he sounds like a selfish asshole. as the song goes i would rather laugh with the devil than cry with the saints..

One God, three separate persons. God the father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. There are many names for God:
Elohim, Yahweh, Jehovah, and the great I AM. All these names and more are descriptive of Him and His characteristics such as Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees. We believe in the trinity because it is referred to often in Scripture although no one truly understands how it works, there is much knowledge and wisdom that is above mans understanding.

There is only one G-d under many names.
Many people, without realizing, end up with two gods:
One god is an impersonal one, an all-encompassing, transcendent force.
But then, at times of trouble, they cry out to another, personal god, with whom they have an intimate relationship.
True faith is all about knowing that these two are one. The same G-d who is beyond all things, He is the same one who hears your cries and counts your tears. The same G-d who is the force behind all existence and transcends even that, He is the same G-d who cares about what is cooking in your kitchen and how you treat your fellow man.
G-d cannot be defined, even as transcendent. He is beyond all things and within them at once.

One God under many names, because even with all His names we cannot fathom or describe Him completely. Two all-powerful and all-knowing beings makes no sense.
