When you build as many Kingdom Halls as we do each year, you save money by not having windows, we do not waste money. The money we save in a year, with the amount of Halls being build, would more than likely pay for a Kingdom Hall. Of course this is not the only reason, security would be a reason, such as break-in to cause damage.
Many of our Kingdom Halls do have windows, the one I attend, in CA. does not.
Kingdom Hall Construction
During the service year, 2,340 Kingdom Halls were completed around the world. This represents an average of 195 halls per month, or just over 6 per day! Since November 1999 when the construction program in lands with limited resources began, 11,930 Kingdom Halls have been built. In many areas, once a hall is finished, meeting attendance soars and halls are soon filled to capacity.
To clarify a couple of answers, have you noticed in the News, that when a Church building is burned or damaged, it's not a Kingdom Hall, it's always some other Religion?
Also some people claim to be a JW's and make statements that are not true.
"ILUVJESUS" said she noticed something funny..there was a self proclaimed witness who answered this question and when I looked at their profile they talked about having a band and kicking azz. I did find that kind of strange coming from a witness. I also find it strange coming from a Witness.

Some Kingdom Halls do have windows. Others do not have windows because of cost and for the sake of security. Generally, a Kingdom Hall is built without windows in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship.

We invite all interested ones to attend meetings with us at our Kingdom Halls. Just contact your local Kingdom Hall for times.
From the Jehovah's Witnesses Official Web Site:
"Jehovah’s Witnesses hold meetings for worship twice each week. (Hebrews 10:24, 25) At these meetings, which are open to the public, we examine what the Bible says and how we can apply its teachings in our life.
Most of our services include audience participation, much like a classroom discussion. Meetings begin and end with song and prayer.
You don’t have to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses to attend our meetings. We invite everyone to come along. Seats are free. No collections are ever taken."

Basically, it's to reduce vandalism and their property insurance costs. However, it also depends on what type of weather is prevalent in the area, or what type of heating and cooling they have in the Kingdom Hall.
Our small Kingdom Hall used to have windows and the sound system was stolen twice, so when it was remodeled in 1993, the windows were removed.

Generally, a Kingdom Hall is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems the questioner tends to spend time in such areas.
Anti-Witnesses should try to understand that Jehovah's Witnesses are proven to be true Christians, based upon the Witnesses' preaching work and the anti-Witnesses' bigoted hatred against them.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

The reason their are now windows is that when they first got really big in this country their buildings were continuously vandalized. With out windows, they can not be smash with rocks or bricks. I used to work with someone who was Jehovah witness and asked him about it. That is the reason.

You ever seen a church with a view? Most do have sunlight pooring in but those stain windows do not allow you to look out. Keeps your mind 'on the ball' so to speak.

I always figured they were afraid that someone would throw some molitov cocktails through the windows. That or they want no outside light to distract their newcomers from the brainwashing. I've wondered the same thing
