I don't understand how everyone is able to have faith in God's existance. It's not that I don't want to believe in His existance but I find it very hard to buy into it. Does that make me an atheist?

whomever. Why is there this constant battle against Christians to putting them down and proving them wrong. Some Christians are just not prepared for debates that were constructed by phyosiohy scholars, and asked by younge punks seeking cheap thrills and enjoy stirring up anger. Some of these questions like the big bang for example is just a theory, not fact. So nobody can prove the creation. The fact is, nobody was there to record what happened, God spoke Moses and told him how he created the heavens and the Earth. Sry i got on a rabbit trail.

Ok Christians, since you call me childish, I'll apologize for by indecent behavior. I am sorry. I had no right to degrade your religion. Therefore I have a modest Proposal. Why not make evolution a religion???? Since Darwin had a degree in theology, why not make evolution a religion, so you guys can mock us too. Darwin and Wallace never got degrees in Science and Lamark never got a degree in science. Therefore, I am proposing that we make evolution a religion so we can have a good old fashioned debate about our "religions". I

Consider how much better everything would be if people would get a sudden and splitting slurpee headache if they said something stupid?

"I disregard evolution because it's a theory and not fact...OW!"

"I have a personal relationship with god, I talk to him every day... YOWTCH!"

"Gays are evil, thank god aids was invented to deal with thier perversions.. OH THAT HURTS!"

And so on.
Can you imagine just how much better the world would be? *sigh* but since that doesn't happen is, for me, the final and irrefutable proof that there is no higher being....

i am sure the word son in the Bible means something else than the son we understand today. as the Bible mentioned more than 5 people as the son of God.
also sons of God and children of God. makes me wonder that the word son means an honor servant.

if the word son does not mean son as we understand today, what does the word son means?

My ex, says he likes another girl, and that he dont love me, and stuff...but why is he still bothering me, and telling me certain stuff is cheating? But then again he says, "im a slut, im butt ugly, a terrible singer, and fat."

and the funny thing is Im a virgin, im definetly not ugly, I sing like an angel, and I go to the gym everyday...so im not fat."

Why is he bothering me still if he has another girl? and do you think he means that stuff, or honestly, is he trying to get me insecure, but he knows im not that stuff?

I'm not muslim but I have been to Saudi arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, United Arab emirates and Senegal. They have had the biggest hearts I have ever met. I don't personally agree with their view of women but it is getting better. They are getting westernized and changes are happening. Their cultures are adapting.
But really, I have never met nicer people than the muslims. Very humble and generous. There are ones who worship money and claim to be muslims. Those are the terrorists, money is their god.
This isn't made up.
anyways they are still my brothers as long as we can see peace

Is it acceptable for a purported Christian on Yahoo Answers, or in real life, to cuss one person out (stupid prick, $ss, $sshole, etc), and then turn around to another person and say "I will pray for you"? I just saw two of those for one question.

I don't understand. I thought good, decent church people didn't talk like that. I mean, I don't want you praying for me if you turn around the next week and cuss me up and down!! Actually, I don't want you praying for me anyways, but that is besides the point!!

What is the official church policy on this matter?

I was raised Christian and have been going to church my whole life. But now I'm frustrated with it. My best friend is gay and every Christian I ask about homosexuality says that it's wrong. Well, I don't see it that way! I'm disgusted by how the bible views gays, as if they are wrong or an abomination, I think that's a load of crap. But I was taught not to question the bible. What am I supposed to do?

Who do you guys think is referred to in Isaiah 53?
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Some people explain the evil in the world by saying that evil doesn't actually exist, it's just the absence of god. For people that believe this, my question is, where is god at those times? Why is god absent?
