In the Old Testament, "bene Elohim" was Sons of God, so 'bene' would have been 'son' with Elohim being the 'first person plural' for god. Yes, "first" person plural, how can it be first person and still be plural, that's just the way the Jewish Scribes wrote it. They DID NOT believe in the Trinity or any form of multiplicity, its just that God was so GREAT, they explained him that way. A mystery.
However, bene meaning son is just that, a "son." Not any more or any less.
Sorry. ://

The word "son" means just that. Just like your son.
In the original Hebrew---which was the first language---The Father and The Son were written - Yahweh and Yahshua. Father and Son.
"The Hebrew language takes its name from Abraham’s descendants, the Israelites, who are ethnographically called Hebrew….In the Old Testament it is poetically called the language of Canaan; Isaiah 19:18, emphatically the language of the holy land consecrated to [Yahweh] as contrasted with that of the profane Egypt. In its earliest written state it exhibits in the writings of Moses a perfection of structure which was never surpassed."

As a follower of God we are His children. It means His child. "God looked upon the sons of God and saw they were good." "In those days there were giants." You can see that the only people were not just God's children.

From my perspective, of all the titles we can call God, His favorite, the one He wants us to use most is Father.... I suspect this is for a very good reason. He is the Father of our spirits.
We are all dual-natured beings- physical and spiritual. Our physical fathers are men... mine lives in Utah, has been married to my physical mother for 30+ years... Our Heavenly Father is God. He is perfect and asks us to strive for the same.
This is the best explanation also for why God cares about us... not just some video game for His entertainment, etc.

God is our Heavenly Father. He made our body and our spirits. We are his children, his sons and daughters. When he says son in the bible, it is referring to the fact that he is our ultimate Father.

The Son (Spelled with a capital S) of God is the one only begotten Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. All those who believe the blood Jesus Christ shed for them at Calvary is the only way to have all their sins forgiven, cleansed and removed are sons (Spelled with a small s) or children of God. John !:12 in The Holy Bible says: "But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on his name." Are you a son of God? If not, here is how you can be.
How to be Saved from Your Sins!
The Holy Bible in Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him (God); for he that cometh to God must believe (have faith) that he (God) is, and that he (God) is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (God).” Parentheses mine!
The only way you can be saved from your sins and go to heaven when you die is to, by faith, acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only true and living God (Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus {that Jesus is Lord} and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believed unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”). You must acknowledge the fact that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only thing that can forgive, remove and cleanse you from all you sins. You must, by faith, acknowledge you are a sinner (Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” and Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”) needing forgiveness of all your sins and turn from all your sins to live for Jesus Christ the rest of your life. You must, by faith, ask Jesus Christ to forgive all your sins and invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life to live there forever. (John l :12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to come sons {children} of God, even to them that believe on his name.” You must, by faith, give your heart and life to Jesus Christ to live for Him day by day. You must then, by faith, seek to please Him, love, honor and obey Him as best you know how. All of this is what is meant when the Lord Jesus Christ said: “Jesus answered, and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto, Except a man be born again , he cannot see the kingdom of God (go to heaven).” You were born physically into your earthly family. To go to heaven you must be born again spiritually into your heavenly family, God's spiritual family. You must learn to read The Holy Bible to learn how to live for Him. I pray you will do this today without delay. YOU CAN TALK TO JESUS CHRIST JUST LIKE YOU WERE TALKING TO ANYONE ELSE. HE IS A PERSON JUST LIKE YOU, EXCEPT, OF COURSE, HE IS HOLY AND SINLESS.
