Is it acceptable for a purported Christian on Yahoo Answers, or in real life, to cuss one person out (stupid prick, $ss, $sshole, etc), and then turn around to another person and say "I will pray for you"? I just saw two of those for one question.
I don't understand. I thought good, decent church people didn't talk like that. I mean, I don't want you praying for me if you turn around the next week and cuss me up and down!! Actually, I don't want you praying for me anyways, but that is besides the point!!
What is the official church policy on this matter?

Thank you for all of the awesome, thoughtful answers! I kind of thought the same way as many of you put in words. Some of your posts were down right funny...made me laugh...the "Christian" wanting a 3-way with his wife! While I am not religious, and I actually used to be a sailor a few years ago, I try not to cuss out of respect for those around me. Sometimes it doesn't work as planned, but like many of you mentioned, who is perfect? Thanks again guys and gals!!

There's no "official church policy" since there is no one central organized church body, but I can tell you that the Christians that post that garbage, are often very immature people who just happen to be Christians.
Thank you for your post, because you are right; it would be difficult to want prayer from a person who attacks another person. But bear in mind, that we do all make mistakes, even very bad ones like what you brought up.

Both of the answers at the very top are true.
1. Christians aren't perfect, they still sin, but the difference is that they're trying not to.
2. On the other hand, there are lot of people who call themselves Christians but aren't acting like Christ (the definition of a Christian!).
You just have to use good judgement and if they are a Christian, politely warn them that they're not being a good example.
If they're not, just be patient with them and try not to shove anything down their throat. But if they're seriously insulting someone and being a nuisance, report them or compeltely ignore them (that is, set the settings so you can't see their posts/messages).

how did you get your avitar upside down like that?
Those are fly by night christians that are cussing it up like sailors. Sometimes, they are just trying to defend the supposed "underdog" oh, yeah right, the Christians have it so tough, being the persecuted people they are!!!
One (Christian side) guy told me off while trying to defend christian theology (not doing a very good job at it mind you), then when I checked on his Q&A,
His last question was: "how do I get my wife in a three way with the girl at work"?
LOL!

Do you know why people shouldn't use foul language? Find this reason and you will find out why it is un-Christlike.
Mow, I cuss. Hell, I'm pretty damned good at it. Smoke, too. I don't think that that makes me a bad person, just one that's good at cussing and is addicted to cigarettes. At any rate, I do endavor to improve my language and stop smoking. Some day, I'd like to talk like I write, but I need the right audience and opportunities for that. Good topics never seem to come up at random on the bus.

We are not supposed to cuss. That isn't church policy, but the Ten Commandments.
You have to realize that all kinds of people answer these questions, and that includes hypocrites. Don't tar the rest of us with that brush.

No, this is not acceptable. Christians do not behave this way, and I do not believe up to 80% of people who say they are Christians truly are. It's not church policy; it's in the Bible. No calling brother a fool, etc.

Dealing with Non-Perfect Human Beings.
Cussing is a ugly Habit, I am sorry to say many people have it including Christians. You are right it sure does make you look at them sideways.
Actually Cursing is taking God or the Lord's name in vain.
