How do you Christians percieve Catholics? Generally the same religion but slightly different?

Mabee the bible is just the 2000 year old version of 'Barny the Dinosaw', only including stories of good samaritains rather than a big gay dinosaw singing 'i love you, you love me...', desingned to teach what was believed to be the right way to act and behave at the time. Then people just took it too far and religion was born, destined to reek havock on the world.
Say no to religion!

Where in God's word does it talk about people being slain in the Spirit? When the Spirit came on those at pentecost only thing they done was talked in the language of those who was there, so they could understand. There was no flopping on the floor like a fish out of water. What purpose does it serve to fall into the floor and act like your having seizures? Get in God's word and stop going on traditions of men.

This is a quote from whynotaskdon's website:
"In the Qur'an Allah is called "the arrogant" (Sur al-Hashar 59.23)"
Now,
This is the original verse:
23. He is Allâh than Whom there is Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allâh! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him.

Doesn't this intentional lieing proves that he is following a false religion?

HERES THE QURAN, AS CLEAR AS CAN BE >>

Quran 9:30 "The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the CHRISTIANS CALL CHRIST the son of Allah. …they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. ALLAH'S CURSE BE ON THEM: how they are deluded away from the Truth!" http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/009.qmt.html#009.030

So, the Quran casts an evil "ALLAH'S CURSE BE ON THEM" spell...why? Because Christians believe in Christ...thats it. LOL...the Quran is like some evil hate gossip column.

Oh, but what else does the religion of peace of say about Christians and Jews?

Quran 5:51 YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! TAKE NOT THE JEWS AND THE CHRISTIANS FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND PROTECTORS...http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/005.qmt.html

Gets worse...just in case any Muslim is foolish enough to still be tolerant...well Allah declares that Ibrahims total "HATRED" for unbelievers is Islam's "EXCELLENT EXAMPLE" to follow http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/060.qmt.html#060.004

Kinda seems like how corporations operate. Sell an idea or product and people buy it. We would need some very good advertsiment campaigns and introduce a philosophy that kept people from really ever knowing what we were doing. Where can I sanction this and who wants to be a partner/shareholder?

I understand that there is no physical evidence, that God exsists. I understand that there is suffering in the world. But if you think about it, if God made everything right, then all would be good. It's like being a robot, you are programed to love and do nothing else. There would be no freedom of speach. There would be no you. If Adam and Eve didn't eat the fruit, you wouldn't be here today. So why do people protest aganst God. Why not look at the things he has done. The good things. Wouldn't you rather live thinking there was a God and finding out there isn't, or would you live thinking there isn't a God, finding out there is. What do you think?

I see lots of folks on here taking C.S. Lewis' arguments and stating them, yet they typically do not cite them - even when Y!A provides the space specifically to list sources.

So - is such a practice a sin?
Is it worse when a Christian to steals from another Christian?

Or is it just simply plagiarism? (Which would, if pursued, possibly earn you a failing grade in a class or even expelled from school.)

"Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple... A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne." -The Holy Bible (Revelation 11:19, Revelation 12:1-5)

I reckon that he'd just laugh at the disagreement of all religions and wonder why everyone doesent have their own morals and why people are unable to think for themselves and need insiration from story books written thousands of years ago. He may also be discusted at the way that religion manipulates people, including children, resulting in conflict which goes as far as wars between nations. I think the alien would not be tempted to stay for long on our planet as a result of religion and would fly back to his home planet. After all, theres more chance of aliens existing than there actually being a God, right!?

Some Christians believe that if you accept Jesus into your hear after prayer you are saved and will go to heaven. (Once saved always saved). This is dangerous heresy, it is unbiblical, and Paul warned Christians about it in:
Ephesians 5:1-5
1
"So be imitators of God, as beloved children,
2
and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma.
3
Immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is fitting among holy ones,
4
no obscenity or silly or suggestive talk, which is out of place, but instead, thanksgiving.
5
Be sure of this, that no immoral or impure or greedy person, that is, an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God".

This thing confused so many Christians and still it's going on.
that's why they call it MYSTERY.
I doubt it was created by SATAN because--in BIBLE--
"For God is not the author of confusion".(Corinthians)

READ THIS FIRST BEFORE RESPONDING:

"During the pre-lslamic period of ignorance I saw a SHE-MONKEY surrounded by a number of monkeys. They were all STONING it, because it had committed ILLEGAL (according to monkey laws) sexual intercourse. I too, stoned it along with them. " http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/058.sbt.html#005.058.188

According to Islam's Bukari, BEFORE ISLAM, in the pre-islamic period, monkeys had law. The Bukari clearly makes this claim by asserting that some poor monkey committed an "illegal" act. An act can only be illegal if it breaks an existing law.

The punishment for illegal sex, according to monkey law, was to be stoned. The angry monkeys then stoned the poor sex loving criminal monkey. Again, this was before Islam and as we all know, today, Islamic Shariah law, applies these very same laws.

So, the Bukari of Islam, tells this story about monkey law that existed before Islam, and that human ancestors of Islam knew about and adopted.
