Do you think other religions should "remind" Christians that Jesus Christ is just a man and not Divine? Should they stay in their lane?

For those of you who have read the bible, in the book of genesis it describes the story of cain and abel. Right after Cain is banished from eden, it talks of his wife, who apparently appeared out of nowhere. I'm a strong believer in the bible and don't doubt it one bit, but WHERE DID CAIN'S WIFE COME FROM!?

No smart alec remarks please, if you are an atheist, keep your comments to yourself unless you have a legitimate interpretation, otherwise you will be reported.

"Many beliefs that people hold today are not supported by evidence, but only by subjective preferences of those holding them. As Pascal said, people almost invariably arrive at their beliefs not on the basis of proof but on the basis of what they find attractive. But truth is not a subjective matter of taste-its an objective matter of fact."

Agree or not? Let me know

I'll let you know I do agree and I myself am a bible-believing born-again christian saved by the grace of God. So you maybe wondering how it is I agree when christianity is based on "faith". The problem is many christians and unbeliever's alike have a misconception about this "faith".

This is called christian apologetics. Anyone want to know more, dont hestitate to IM me.

>>>>Or if you want to talk about how stupid I am, you are also welcome.

As one goes around the world, there are different languages spoken, and different religions practiced. But, are the words still the same? Isn't all just the same thing, simply translated into a different culture?

Is saying that one religion is superior like saying that one language is superior? What is religion but the language of God?

Israel has never attacked anyone without provocation. They have always been attacked first. If you believe in the saying"turn the other cheek" would you do that no matter what anyone did to you or your family?

The rapture is when Jesus comes back (to the sky) and calls His followers to meet Him in the sky.

This means that hundreds of thousands (millions?) of Christians will disapear, in a moment, from all over the world, including Christians who are dead.
Also all very young children will also be taken (probably 2 yrs old and younger) from every nation and religion (what else could get all the countries to work togeater in a 1 world government).

This was prophesied almost 2000 years ago!

When this happens, how are people going to explain this besides saying it was the rapture.

Seriously, I live in this world and most of the time it is ok. But sometimes I think the Amish or the Hutterites have the right idea. All following the same faith, the same laws, and living in community. Away from bad influences and negative situations. I think that they probably live more peaceful lives. I can't join them and I don't suscribe to their faith but I do admire them.

I am a 27yr old man. I am a christian. I don't boast with arrogance about my christianity, but I do love Jesus Christ. I love what the man stands for. Jesus Christ to me is the absolution of peace, love and forgiveness. I do believe that he did die on the cross for my sins despite what modern belief if attempting to contradict. What do I need to do to serve my Lord more accordingly? I have been a lazy representative in Christ the last few months and I could use some words of inspiration. I really want to walk hand and hand with him and serve him more accordingly. I do want to be the vessel for the Lord. I am not here for me. I am here for Gods will I believe.

Does it matter if I'm a Christian, and not a Paulist?
I think the Apostle Paul got it wrong about a lot of things Jesus wanted for us, and I think the words in red are more important than the words in the epistles.

Do you think this makes me a bad person?

What if I call Paul the world's first sleazbag Christian?
Doe Jesus still love me?

Jesus teaches us to love our fellow man, and yet certain people believe that love only extends to other Christians ( http://www.jesuswouldbeashamedofyou.com ) case in point.

Why are modern, conservative Christians so quick to exercise their 'hate the sin, love the sinner' doctrine (which isn't in the bible) but never hold up signs saying "I love you for who you are: my neighbor" or "I love the sinner, I am a sinner"?

7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; those who seek find; and to those who knock, the door will be opened.
9 "Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

scientists appreciate skepticism because it helps identify false ideas, whilst true ideas will hold up no matter how much skepticism. it seems to me this approach would be ok for reading the bible.
