I know that people have been saying this for thoasands of years, but could this be it? With all the war and destruction that's happening, could the world be over within the next 20 years?

No, through research of me and alot of colleuges. We estimate that it will be 70 years after the next leader of Islam is picked. Jesus will return, oh and just wait untill you see what he does to all the crosses and statues people have made of him. I do not want to be here to witness it. I would rather be in my grave just waiting.

Probably not within the next 20, though it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

But yes, it is definitely not -improbable- that world could be destroyed soon. There have been wars for ages—but there's only so much a spear or a musket can do. You can kill a person with either, but you can't kill mankind with them. Today's weapons? A few well-placed nukes would take care of most of the world's population, and the radioactive contamination would quickly get to the rest.

Of course, humanity's also locked itself in the garage with the car running in a manner of speaking. We continue pumping harmful gases into the atmosphere and try to pretend we don't know they're there until we finally suffocate and die.

People are really quite stupid, actually. I'm not certain it would be so bad if we were destroyed.

I don't think so. We just have more people and better news coverage. That's why we see so many signs. Some would say that alot of the signs happened with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. And then there were the world wars. No, I don't think its worth worrying about. Besides, we have so much to live for in this wonderful land of the free and home of the brave.

I think yes.
You give a reasonable time frame-20 years.
The Bible said that the generation that saw Israel come back together as a nation would not pass away before they saw the coming of the son of man (2nd coming).
My understanding of a generation is that the expected lifespan of man (according to the Bible) is 70 years, 80 if you're strong. Psalm 90:10
So, if you do the math: 1947+70 =2016 or 80 would be 2026, but those are the best case scenerios!
He gave us signs, and they are coming to pass at an alarming rate!
For example: Whenever before did the sign of "the sea and the waves would be roaring" ever have such meaning as it does now?

Are you afraid it may happen in your lifetime? How about living your life and enjoying each moment; not minding the past and not worrying about the future. If you believe that we all exist in a borrowed time then maybe you should not be worried about the end of times. It was written In the Book of Ecclesiastes: " Generation comes and generation goes but the earth stood the same". Archaeologists and Paleontologists studied the earth and with the fossils they dug up, they discovered that the earth is more than hundred millions years old. A progressive city of Atlantis beneath the ocean was found with reports of an advance kind of people. Lemuria before that was also discovered. So, I guess if it is going to be over, it will not be the world, it will only be our civilization and surely another civilization will emerge.just as each one of us will return to the dust so that another dust will be formed. I believe in the continuing cycle of life.

The EARTH will go on for some time. The FATHER is agonna RECREATE the EARTH and move HIS Throne down here later. The EARTH will then be what we call "Heaven" now.
p.s. Heaven is a Planet twice as big as the EARTH.
EARTH is a Spin-Off of Planet Heaven.
There will be War's, but GOD will not let us destroy all of the EARTH, and wipe out all of the People.
GOD Love's the EARTH too.
Hope this helps.

Look, the world will end when it ends...Maybe tomorrow, maybe thousands more years, or when the sun collapses and there goes earth, Who KNOWS... NOBODY>. Read the prophecy..Quit borrowing trouble.. Actually mankind will end the world with their nuclear bombs. We won't survive that because we the USA have no shelters to last 100 yrs +. I think I'll just walk outside and wave at the danged thing.

With all that is going on in the world, like the war in the mid-east, the big change in the weather, low morels and hate, I would say the world's end is close at hand. The best thing you could do is to pray and make things right with you and our God and trust in Him for He will never forsake you. He has everything in His hands.

As humans we can't know and aren't supposed to know. If we were, it would be in the Bible. However, things are quickly moving into place.
