I used to wonder the exact same thing. But after reading questions on this site (I'm not putting anyone down) I now know. People have all different explanations everything from the "devil did it" to aliens. But, I also think some people who claim to be Christians, but who aren't won't be raptured. Then everyone will say, well "so and so" was a Christian he/she went to church so why didn't they disappear. I think it will confuse people. I also wondered how anyone could deny God after that happened and I have seen again through this site that many will not change their opinions no matter what. Oh, and of course we don't know how young the children will be, but I figure they will even be a bit older than 2, I would even guess it could be even kids near the age of 12. I think it will be anyone who had not reached the age of accountability and that age can be different for different people.

As I see it, it will probably happen after the mark of the beast, Rev 13 speaks of the mark of the beast and how no one will be able to buy or sell without it... Rev 14 goes on to discuss the Great Harvest when removes the righteous to safety before He opens up some Holy Wrath on the rest of the world. I think non believers will know that Christians speak of a great catching away and when we vanish, they will say it was a mass exodus so we dont have to come under the mark, which is obviously a money thing. Many people will probably even claim to know where we're hiding and claim they saw us and stuff to help prevent anyone else from seeking The Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:48-56 (New International Version)
48As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we[a] bear the likeness of the man from heaven.
50I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."[b]
55"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"[c] 56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. Please read this website and agree with God concerning your sin of unbelief and turn to the one true God Jesus Christ. There will come a day when Jesus will come take His children home.

Where in the Bible (chapter and verse) is the Rapture mentioned? The idea of the rapture was formulated in the 19th century by John Henry Darby. Though the idea of the "resurrection of the dead" goes all the way back to the early Christians, the idea of the rapture DOES NOT.

Sorry my friend; You are a few days late on this one.
The rapture is NOT in the bible as such.
However there are significant studies showing that during the cleansing of the world, God will remove the wicked to be destroyed, and will leave the righteous behind to inherit the earth.
Read Psalms 37:29 &
Proverbs 2;21-22

The bible says that there is going to be a post-rapture revival because all of those who heard the word but were not saved will read it and be saved. Many Christians believe that the book of Revelations is not meant for current believers, but as a prophesy for the post-rapture community. I'm sure the enemy has a way to explain this away (alien abduction, spontaneous combustion, lol you name it) that is why not everyone will be saved, but many will be.

the thought of the rapture does not look interior the Bible. those that think of this are basically heavily lie to. whilst the final angel blows his trumpet, it heavily isn't for the rapture, it will be the tip of th device of issues and the initiating of God's Kingdom. Jesus will take rulership removed from devil. (Revelation 11:15)

The answerer Bobbylips might be right. The antichrist (whom I believe is alive and going about his business right now) is going to have to explain it somehow, but then again, people may be too busy with other things to really concern themselves with where all those millions went.
All you "answerers" who don't believe that Jesus is coming back in the "rapture" just wait and see. Want to take a chance?

neither the word nor the explicit doctrine are in the Holy Scriptures.
The rapture is a physical explanation for a spiritual illustration.
And as the Bible says the things of the spirit can not be examined by those with a physical(material) thinking process.

The Rapture is when Jesus returns to Earth and establishes the Kingdom of God on Earth. And the Earth will be transformed not destroyed.
