As one goes around the world, there are different languages spoken, and different religions practiced. But, are the words still the same? Isn't all just the same thing, simply translated into a different culture?

Is saying that one religion is superior like saying that one language is superior? What is religion but the language of God?

wow, what a beautifully written thought.

But, no...all religions are not the same. Right off the bat here's a big one. The Christian faith is the only one which believes their leader is still alive.

Some of the concepts are very similar, but it seems to me like all the others but Christians depend on how good you are. Ours depends on how good Jesus was during His human life. That's it.

But I still loved your question.

No, it isn't all the same thing. Different people's beliefs have developed over centuries, and people have been separated for a lot of that time. Thus, they also have different languages.

But language and religion don't necessarily go together. Muslims speak many languages, and so do Christians.

Not many words are exactly the same in different languages (or even to different people speaking the same language!), so whenever something is translated it always loses some of its meaning.

Saying that one religion is superior is simply saying that it describes reality better than another religion. There isn't much point in this, though, because any organized religion is wrong to some degree simply by being an organized religion.

Truth is learned one person at a time, and this personal experience of truth can't be transmitted from one person to another. One person can help another along the way, but no amount of attending services or following rules will gain that crucial experience.

Religion isn't the language of God. It's only a failed attempt to follow a leader who may or may not have known what he was talking about (and who may or may not have even said the words attributed to him!).

One last thing: people learn to speak a language without effort, but religion is taught.

Nope sorry. Buddha never claimed to be God or a Savior neither did Vishnu. China is not allowed to have religion. So there are millions of secret Christians in so called House Churches.

Much of the former USSR is experiencing Christian Revival. The Philippines are both Christian and Muslim. Africa has both Christian and Muslim and some very small sects.

No, language has a purpose and is useful; religion is neither.

All "religions" are different and don't lead to the same God.
