This is a quote from whynotaskdon's website:
"In the Qur'an Allah is called "the arrogant" (Sur al-Hashar 59.23)"
Now,
This is the original verse:
23. He is Allâh than Whom there is Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allâh! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him.

Doesn't this intentional lieing proves that he is following a false religion?

I can't believe you've clicked on whynotaskdon's website. I've never dared... I'm too frightened that my computer will just get too disgusted and self-destruct.

The real question is, is it your place to judge? Most Muslims are not terrorists or insane, and to them, Islam is what brings them comfort and explains the mysteries of life. It's basically the same as Christianity to a majority of Americans, something to hold as a personal belief and bring comfort to someone when life gets hard. I mean, you could disprove any religion because they're all very flawed, but the thing is that it's not important to these people whether it has holes in its argument or whatnot. Nobody alive absolutely -knows- the truth about what religion is right, so why bother going out of your way to call something dear and comforting to so many false and stupid?

There is no such thing as a false religion. Religions are so many and so diverse but we must remember one thing: they are created by humans and since humans are fallible creatures then that will reflect in the religion.

Human beings lie sometimes. We even make distinctions among certain types of lying, ie) white lies, little white lie etc.

So if you keep this in mind then you will understand religious 'untruth' and human nature.

Oh and one more little factoid: There exists a psychological test that is sometimes used to weed out people who are dishonest. It asks: 'Have you ever lied?'

If the respondent says 'No' he is immediately suspect. If the respondent says 'Yes' he is much more honest than the other.

And this test is used for all kinds of things. So ask your friend this question and see what he says.

some years ago statistics on lying determined that everyone lies...including you & myself...on an average of 17 times per day. Lying includes withholding information so you will not know the truth, obscuring it with fictitious stories and outright straight across lying in someone's face whilst peering into their eyes. It is a huge part of our societal problems here on planet earth as everyone lies for their own reasons....and every lack of truth-telling has an impact...trust me on this....if lying is unappealing to you, as it should be, then best to avoid answering the question. i have been known to refuse to answer a question because they did not want to know the truth and i did not care to lie about it.

One man's lie does not prove a religion to be false... A religion or faith must be evaluated on its own merits and what it declares, not on the example of one of it's "fallen or imperfect" followers.

Ask yourself this question, do you have forgivness in your heart?
If you believe in this man enough that he can and will get better in his lying ways then your answer has already presented itself. We are all human and we all make mistakes. Believe in him and believe that he can be trusted. This may not happen over night, things like this take time.

I say
"You have to experience the Truth about your life before you can experience the life the Truth has to offer "

Yes without a doubt

Doesn't matter to me false or otherwise, I have no desire to even think of that as a choice.....I'm a catholic, I'm not trying to push it down anyone else's throat, or trying to convince them that it's the only way to go. It is simply my choice of religion and so be it.......

I am a liar. Now am I telling the truth or am I lying? Now if you believe that I am telling the truth does that mean that you just trusted a liar to tell the truth? It does.
