Was the woman Mary? Maybe, but others believe the woman is Israel.
There is another reference to this woman in Isaiah:
Isa 66:6 "The sound of an uproar from the city! A sound from the temple! The sound of the LORD, rendering recompense to his enemies!
Isa 66:7 "Before she was in labor she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she delivered a son.
Isa 26:17 Like a pregnant woman who writhes and cries out in her pangs when she is near to giving birth, so were we because of you, O LORD;
Who knows, maybe its both

The Ark of the Covenant (×ר×× ××ר×ת in Hebrew: aron habrit) is described in the Hebrew Bible as a sacred container, wherein rested the stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments

I haven't studied this but from reading the verses it looks like it is describing the Virgin Mary and the birth of Jesus Christ.

I have only heard that the Ark is hidden in one of the many caves in Israel.
