Where in God's word does it talk about people being slain in the Spirit? When the Spirit came on those at pentecost only thing they done was talked in the language of those who was there, so they could understand. There was no flopping on the floor like a fish out of water. What purpose does it serve to fall into the floor and act like your having seizures? Get in God's word and stop going on traditions of men.

I have not found "slain in the Spirit" in God's Word either. Anything that takes your focus off Jesus Christ is not good. Flopping on the floor does not glorify our Savior.

why not?
oh I'm sorry, I agree, the spirit affected those with the gift of speaking in tongues(actual languages) so that those spirit baptized ones preached the good news of god's kingdom and 3000 people responded by accepting the good news.
Nothing like the fish flopping satanic crap people call pentecostal today!

I agree with you. I have seen and experienced true moves of God but a lot of people go to the extreme and I think that many are faking this. How would we know the difference and how do you tell the difference in a true speaking in tongues experience and a phony one. Like you said what purpose does it serve? I know that if it's real the person experiencing it will get a lot from it but I have seen it create much confusion. I would rather someone come up to me and tell me that they care about me that I would someone prophesying in tongues over me. Can't we all just show more love. God bless you.

Traditions of men are not condemned by the Bible, only those which are contradictory to his word. The bible is part of Catholic tradition, compiled by Catholic monks and put iinto its full verse in 397 AD at the catholic council of carthage, St ignatius of antioch, a disciple of the apostle John said in 107AD that Christians only may faithfully follow the CATHOLIC CHURCH, 107 AD, before the Bible was compiled.

I believe the Charismatic movement is demonic in origin, and that some of these people who are babbling and flopping are actually doing so under the influence of an evil spirit. There is nothing holy about men and women lining up at an altar to have their spirits slain. Stinks of brimstone to me!
Plus, I have noticed that the people who get involved in it become...well, there is no other word for it...evil. Far from being meek and humble, they are proud and cold.
There is a spirit at work in those Charismatic churches...but it isn't the Holy Spirit...there is nothing holy about it at ALL.
But, weren't we warned? Please, see Matthew 24:24 for details...and understand, Christ is not Jesus' last name...it means "Anointed One". Beware of anyone who claims to have "a special anointing from God"...he is actually claiming to be a Christ. EVERY Christian is born-again, EVERY Christian is baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire, and EVERY Christian is anointed. There is, according to the Bible, ONE faith, ONE Lord...and, yes, only ONE Baptism.

They did have to tell people that they were not drunk, so I'm thinking that they must've been acting a little funny.
Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? (Acts 19:2)
