I understand that there is no physical evidence, that God exsists. I understand that there is suffering in the world. But if you think about it, if God made everything right, then all would be good. It's like being a robot, you are programed to love and do nothing else. There would be no freedom of speach. There would be no you. If Adam and Eve didn't eat the fruit, you wouldn't be here today. So why do people protest aganst God. Why not look at the things he has done. The good things. Wouldn't you rather live thinking there was a God and finding out there isn't, or would you live thinking there isn't a God, finding out there is. What do you think?

If you really think about it God's teachings are just good morals. And his commandments protect us in some sort of way. Like stealing and killing. And coveting your neighbor. Or even having sex after marriage. Think about it. Stealing is wrong not because we was tuaght that it was wrong but because when you work hard for something and somebody takes it without your permission then that hurts. And the sex thing. If people would wait to have sex when they get married then the AIDS rate would be down, unwanted pregnancies and gay people won't know that they are gay until they have sex. I mean it's crazy the way people think about religion. I don't believe in religion. Loving God is my way of life. It's apart of me. I don't think of God as a religion. People need to rethink their way of life and what God can offer them.

I'm not sure I follow. I should believe in God because all the ills in the world are somehow actually better than if all was good? Because my own existence is more important than the untold suffering of millions? Or just to hedge my bets?

I'd rather live my life logically. If I find out a powerful entity exists who's got it in for me because I did so, I'm ok with that.

I don't think I could respect such a creature, anyway, any more than I can respect a person with a gun who kills people because they have the power to do so. I don't see anything positive in the idea of a creature who creates, then watches, the suffering of lesser beings. Anyone/thing who watches such suffering go on and on when they have the power to stop it doesn't rate very high in my opinion. No matter how exalted their reasons.

I believe there is physical evidence that God exists. I life in the country and everyday I can see the beauty that surrounds us. In the sky, waters, plant life and animal. Man cannot duplicate any of these without starting with what God gave us in the beginning. I believe people go against God because they will not accept the responsibility for what they have done wrong. It's easier to blame someone else when we screw up. When we let the devil know that there is no place for him in our lives, and we truly try to live our lives as true to God and ourselves as possible, than we will have less to blame on someone else and more satisfaction in our lives. Sometimes we need to learn to content with what we have, instead of always wanting more, or everything, or what someone else has. God can help us find that contentment if we open ourselves to him and appreciate what he has given us.

I tend to not believe in things which have fantasical claims but no evidence for.

According to your religion you have to act like a perfect robot to get into heaven where you can spend eternity as a perfect robot. How is that freedom of speech?

besides which children starving to death is not acceptable for any reason.

You started that there is no physical evidence for god and then tell people to look at the good things he's done. Which you have no evidence that he's done. Nice.

I think it's funny the knots people tie themselves into trying to justify their god belief. You believe whatever makes you happy, Just stop trying to force other people to believe it too.

Ahem. You just answered your own question. There is no physical evidence of god- yet, god is used to control mass numbers of people to force them to behave under a certain set of guidelines (some of them are against our very nature). The idea of god is also a good way to create a social caste system- excluding certain "undesirable" people from popular society, and it can cause people to choose to shut out actual physical evidence of what may REALLY have gone on. I think people dont want to be held back by the idea of a god there is no evidence of that makes demands on our personality and enforces these demands with the threat of eternal punishment. If god wants to threaten me into believing him and living by his rules... he can do it to my face. Until then he can kiss my @$$

I would not like to live a life of stupidity in ignorance of fact. There is no god, so why believe in him? By your argument, you could say the Muslims are correct. If we use the, "I would rather be safe than sorry", what religion? Now you again need proof. By your argument, I can prove the tooth fairy, and Santa are real. And many more.

Lack of faith. Physical evidence? Look around you, who do you think created all this things, including you and your life? God created us, blind from faith. He gave us the brain and placed it on top of our body to rule the body and to distinguish right from wrong. He sent a number of apostles to spread the words of (Him) the creator, but no one beleives. Until finally, He sent his own (and only) Son to do the same. There are two kind of spirit, the good and the bad. The other is struggling to put you on harm (bad) while the other tries to carry you to safety. Now, which one would you choose? These are all test of our faith. Do not question the events occuring in your life, instead, make firm in your beleif the word of God: "(blessed are the poor and those who are oppressed, for they shall inherit the Kingdom God in heavem").

you understand that there is no physical evidence that god exists, yet you persist in talking about god like it were fact . What kind of an idiot are you?

rebellion, against God, is human nature. human nature is prideful. The Bible says all human hearts are inherently evil.
Because of this, it is easier to live for yourself than to crucify the Flesh and walk in the Spirit.
