I love this question. If you can 'choose' to be gay, I guess that you can 'choose' to be straight too.
I'm curious to see the responses.

All... if you are straight then gay sex doesn't appeal to you so it's not a concern...
If you mean how many gays have made a conscious decision about not engaging in gay sex then I don't know... I don't have the statistics for that...

Umm...if someone is straight that means they are attracted to others of the opposite sex. Why would they have to make any effort to not engage in gay sex when they wouldn't want to in the first place?? I don't understand your question. Are you saying that ALL people are straight and some choose to be gay??

NOW, I have made a conscious decision to stay a virgin until marriage to stay in God's favor (if that helps)

Don't understand. Not engaging in gay sex is not a conscious decision for most people, it just doesn't do it for them. I don't think sexuality can be chosen, do you choose who you are attracted to? I don't think you can choose to fall in love, it just happens

Here Here! Actually, it's also a cleanliness issue. I mean, the Penis is a mucus membrane that absorbs whatever touches it. It's not a good look to put a penis around Feces (Gay or not). Nor is it a good look to put your face in a vagina. There is mad bacteria that is found down there, and it aint something you really want to be ingesting.

If you have to make a conscious decision not to be gay, then you aren't really straight, are you?

I've made a conscious decision not to offend Him with my spelling and grammar. I'm pretty sure He doesn't give a rat's *** about my sexuality.

You can choose to sin or you can choose to NOT sin. I am so grateful for those who will answer truthfully and not be swayed by the "socially acceptable" answers.
Homosexuals make the decision to sin if they practice their homosexuality. They can also decide NOT to give in to their sinful desires. We're human beings who can decide to do what's right or wrong. Selfishness, lust, and sinful desires are not what God made. They are, however, what humans decide for themselves.

what a great question. christians are constantly saying that homosexuality is a temptation that we have to force ourselves to resist. but now they're all admitting (unknowingly) that the reason why they don't practice homosexuality is just because it doesn't turn them on. of course,,, it goes right over their heads that they're obliterating their own argument.
