I would like to download some Christian music, but I don't have the money to buy a bunch of songs. However, being a Christian, I don't want to illegally download them either. Anybody know of a place where I can legally download free Christian music? Thanks for your help, and God bless!! :D

i would like to share an experience with you all. last year for a couple weeks i restricted my diet to a predominately raw food diet, except i ate eggs, and drank keifer. i was also taking a few supplements prescribed by my(naturopath) doctor. one day i was sitting at my computer and i had this weird experience come over me. all the tension in my body went away, and my vision enhanced all the colors in the room. i decided to close my eyes and i saw a white light in the shape of a candle and all the colors of the rainbow where darting from it. anyone have similar experiences to share? what does it mean?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! NO BIBLE QUOTING!!! PLEASE! I beg you! PLEASE don't quote the bible! i'm interested in experience. intelligent responses only please. non-sectarian responses. PLEASE don't quote the bible!

I do believe that no where in the bible does God say, "I HATE HOMOSEXUALS."

But in Malachi 2:16, it specifically says "For God hates divorce."

So my question to the Christians who have waged a war against homosexuality, why is it that you do not wage a war against an abomination to your god that so many people within your belief system commit?

By the defense that homosexuality is against God and bad for society, shouldn't we outlaw divorce?

I am looking for a religion to live my life by. I've only given consideration to the BIG three: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. But have problems with all three. Can you shed some light on these problems:

Judaism-- seems a little too exclusive and stuck on heritage...i hear i have to jump through hoops to convert into the religion but had my mom been Jewish I'd be accepted w/out question. that sounds a little racist.

Christianity--I'm into monotheism, and the Trinity concept seems to go against that. As I understand it, God, Son (Jesus) and Holy Ghost are all God...just in three different forms? Christianity anthropomorphizes God too much for comfort.

Islam-is too strict. living happily in America almost seems impossibe if u want to be a good muslim. plus, Muslims are always under attack by the other two religions...i don't want to join a religion and feel i have to defend it...that went out with the Great Prophets...lol

the end times or what?

First off, don't give me the "God can do anything" crap because the bible and the "prophecies" within were written by men, not God.

He gave you a brain, use it.

Now think about this. If someone can predict the future, that means that the future has already happened and is somehow sending messages back to the past. It really can't happen any other way.

But the big problem here is that this would mean that we have no free will. If the future is already written, then you have no control over what you do. And if that's the case, your sins were your destiny.

Wierd. Nuclear physicists grapple with the same argument. But most of you wouldn't know about that, would you?

Apoligetics use the scientific method in an attempt to make you agnostic, like so,

Hypothesis: There is no God
Null Hypothesis: There may be a God
Design an experiment to prove that there is no God.

No need to harass me; The question was desciptive enough.

Of course!

Here is a major scientist who saw the light! Will you even see what he has to say?

He was the youngest child having three older brothers. He and his brothers were homeschooled on a farm in Virginia. He is married and has two daughters from a previous marriage. His parents were "only nominally Christian" and by graduate school he was an "obnoxious atheist." However, dealing with dying patients led him to question his religious views, and he investigated various faiths. He became a Christian after reading Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis, and he now delivers lectures at churches concerning Lewis. He considers scientific discoveries an "opportunity to worship". His book,The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief was published in July 2006.

Before the bible mankind believed in Zues, Medussa, etc.
which now society says no way that was true.
The bible says things like Lotts's wife turn to salt, walking across water, living in a whale.
Sounds mythical to me.
And the bible says if a man sleeps with another mans wife he & the woman shall be put to death. Why are we not following that command from the bible? Christian's seem to be very hypricrital. Way too many contridictions for me.

I say believe in God the way God tells YOU, and leave it at that.

God exists.
The core of His being is pure love.
He created our world.
He created us.
He desires to love us and give us everything.
He wants us to love him back.
He gave us freewill so we could love Him by our own choice.
We used that freedom to turn away from God.
He had a plan to allow those who wanted Him to have a way.
Every person who ends up with God in the end,
will be with Him because he choose to be.
All others will have whatever is left over when God completely withdraws Himself from them.
Happily ever after.
The end

If no, why not? If yes, should we also allow the Quran, Torah, Pentagons, etc.. to represent other religions? If the Govt would allow one religion to be represented, should they allow them all no matter how unpopular?

A lot of people take the Bible as literal, and Gosple truth, but, the Bible has been rewritten, by man, who is a vein, and petty creature, prone to lying, misinformation, and changing things to fit their own needs and asperations. Then why do so many people take the Bible as literal truth? It was written, and rewritten by man over and over, until the original words have been lost in obscurity over the passages of time. Here is a good exercise to try. Take twelve people, give all twelve the same Bible verse. Have each sit seperately, without discussion, in the same room, and write the verse in there own words, and then, at the bottom, have each describe what the verse means to them, its meaning. Now, take everybody' papers, and compare each, against the original, and see how many different meanings come from the twelve people, and you will see what I'm talking about. The Bible is of man. Man lies, and misinterprits, acording to their upbringing, and personal experiences.

A week or so ago someone had asked about where would we be if Adam and Eve had not sinned. Someone said that it was all God's plan. They said that God knew they would sin and that is why he put the tree of knowledge there. Now because of the sin God said that Eve would have to bear children and Adam would have to work the land to be able to have food to eat. There was to be much suffering because of the sin. If this was the plan then why would God plan to make people suffer? Why would God have planned death of children and suffering too? I am curious. I was once a Christian and I have always wondered about this. I am not trying to slam your God. Just trying to understand.
